- This is a Dominons 6 Quick Tip going over population and it's benefits and population growth or decline. This will be part of a new series that will go over a specific mechanic in detail quickly without me rambling or getting side tracked! Dominions 6 is a turn based 4x strategy game suitable for both play vs AI, player vs player. Team play vs AI or players also works great as everyone can do their turns at once. The game has a huge variety of units, spells, magic items and different nations to play.
You are a God! You are master and ruler of a loyal nation. You have unimaginable powers at your disposal. You have claimed this world as yours. But there are others who stand in your way. You must defeat and destroy these pretenders. Only then can you ascend to godhood and become the new Pantokrator.

I am planning on making more nation overviews, however they do take a lot more time to edit and between work and personal life harder to get out!
I could certainly do one on Man, I've played them before in a multiplayer game in Dominions 5 and they do now seem in a strong spot with their cavalry though they've changed a little bit due to glamour. Very fun nation too with their chorus communions. I'll put them on the list!
@@ChazzyBurger Thanks a lot for the reply! Yes actually. I am not sure if you have covered this before. I didnt have that much time so I only looked at stuff that I didn't understand at all, maybe you covered it in a longer video, but I am having trouble understanding what exactly raiding and thungs are? Or how to properly implement them?
I know that my knights of stone in Man are probably supposed to be Thungs, but I have so far just tried to rely on Knights of Avalon, longbowmen and Wise men for buffs.
There is so much to learn. Haha.

You forgot that MA Ermor also terraforms the terrain into wastelands overtime and making it impossible to have a high pop in the province.
or you terraforming back to forest or farmland whit grow 4-5
@@skoub3466 you can't terraform a wasteland to something else?
@skoub3466 @MrVladiebaddie so with the transformation from plains to wastes it isn't directly tied to Ermor's dominion, as it's the fact you have a death scale of 4 or 5 that turns plains into wastes and forests and farmlands into plains rather than being innately tied to Ermor's dominion. It is probably the most common nation to find death 4 or above however as they can get it right out of the gate!
As far as growth's extreme scale effects its only listed as turning plains into forests or farmland then at 5 farmland into forests, nothing about terraforming wastes back into plains. I'll do some testing however in a single player game and get back to you.

I may make my own quick tips for terraforming specifically just to bring it's mechanics to light a bit more, but Zan is a great guy to watch as well, check him out!
Population density doesn't work as you said (-0.2 if above, -0.4 if above 2x). Even your example shows it. I don't know how it works, the manual doesn't say, I don't find it anywhere. My hypothesis is -0.2 for each full +50% above size (in your example 37760 is above 37500 for +150%, so -0.6). The bonuses for low pops might be at 50%, 25%, 12%.
Good point! There's a very good chance it was changed in the patches that have come out since this video, I'll do some testing and get back to you about your hypothesis, there's a good chance that it's correct and would mirror what I've seen recently.
