"A willingness to cooperate with every other road user".
Well that grand idea didn't last long did it !!
So we've had over 50 years to get the hang of roundabouts & yet some drivers still just don't get it .

If that was your Gran who was the actress stopped by police, let us know either if her acting career took off or she can now use roundabouts successfully.

In 2013 the Myth Busters team tested a 4-way stop versus a roundabout ... and found the roundabout to be 20% more efficient. They urged the USA to adopt the concept. That makes Hobart a high-tech alternative to what you'd experience "over there". At least half a century ahead of the Trumpian Puniverse.

Independent analysis of 10 years' worth of data showed Brooker Railway Roundabout was Tasmania's number-one crash site, with about 1,700 crashes occurring there between 2004 and 2014.

That scene of the roundabout in use was a setup with paid drivers. I have never seen anything like the coordination used in that scene at any roundabout in Australia. The average driver is not confident enough to do it. Most drivers don't know the rules and stop at the roundabout if they see a car even close to entering from the right, even though the law states you only need to give way to vehicles already on the roundabout.

That looked like a traffic patrol officer pulled her over, similar to highway patrol today

People still can't be bothered to indicate properly in/out of a roundabout, they are good if used correctly. To many selfish/lazy drivers that don't fear getting pinged for not doing the right thing, speed cameras bring in the moolah so to hell with courtesy.

Not the lady’s fault really, that approach to the roundabout is much too oblique. Bad design.
