One thing you'll need to keep in mind is bus speed. Just about all DJ gear I know of runs off a usb2 bus. If you plug a usb 2 device into a usb3 port on your computer, any other devices on that bus will only work at usb2 speeds. 2 is a lot slower than 3. If you have both usb2 and usb3 ports on your computer, make sure you use the 2 port. They're completely separate just for this reason. You can use 1 and 2 devices without messing up the speed of your usb3 devices.

Nice! I have 2 old reloop contour interface edition and they are not working with new M1 mac.
Maybe in the future there will be support for this device as well. I would also buy in this case.

Not sure if that could work, since the SL still work with VDJ, Djay or Traktor. I assume you mean a Serato support or don’t work the SL box in general not more on windows (Idk, Mac user here)?
Think that is more a software than a hardware thing
@@strackete5441 Mac user here too. Still running my 2012 mbpro to use the SL3, as serato for my M1 doesn't support the SL3. I have traktor on the M1, totally didn't think of trying the sl3 with that. Will have a go, thanks!
Yeah my NI audio 8 doesn’t work anymore. However for the price they are charging might as well buy a new interface.

If only they made it core audio as db4/2 wasn't unfortunately.
My korg zero 4 (20 yrs old!) is core compliment and its firewire SC works. Still more advanced than any mixer today with it's semi/full midi implementation.

I had the same problem with my Denon DN-X1600. Ended up with a soundcard with enough ins and outs to work with Traktor again. This could be a great solution for other of my gear.

My 4D has been working in Windows 10 with Traktor for while now with no issues 🤷♂️

@@Tegneaufreak I thought this was a Windows 10/11 problem as well. Incompatible drivers which are not being updated by manufacturers.

@@dwai1967 correct. that's one reason I upgraded to the 96, as well as getting extra channels to use for synths/pedals.
Ploytec is the company A&H had make and supply the soundcards for the 4D and DB2/4
A&H went back to them when compatibility issues became known.
There was no solution forseable, so A&H discontinued the mixers.
I have a 4D that I want to sell.

I also had a DB4 that I part exchanged for a 96, which the soundcard is co designed with A&H / Andy-Rigby Jones iirc. so has no issues and is class compliant, unlike the older mixers with Ploytec soundcards

Yeah I don’t know why A&H didn’t think to use a class complaint interface for the DB4 considering it was supposed to be their flagship at one point. Glad to hear this news though. Haven’t used my DB4 in a minute, but happy to know I’ll still be able to use rekordbox dvs with it on my newer MBP.

You can't get more "boutique" than this, so it isn't going to come for $10 out of a Chinese factory mass produced.

Seems so, I'm no expert, but if your mixer is working with your laptop, you definitely don't need this!

Please make it clearer that because something may no longer work on MacOS, it doesn't necessarily mean the same is true of Windows. Macs are not the only computers!

Currently it is for the units mentioned, you'd have to reach out to them with any requests for other gear. I wasn't aware there was an issue with the S2 Mk2 though, either!
