Those 875s look to have been resoled before. That is not the original Red Wing “Traction Tred” wedge sole. Nice job. You’re restored the original workmanship of the sole. I have never seen anyone repair the moc toe box stitching before. Nice!
Thanks Joaquin, but I had to use some sand paper first, acetone, saddle soap, color cream and leather conditioner!!!😬 But yes saddle soap works miracles!!✋🏻👊
You really honor the name of your shop: Revive Shoe Repair. You really revived them! Great job as usual and I liked the patina and sole color. I just have two questions, though. At the beginning, you sanded the toe box, why is that? Can sanding damage the leather?
You did a real nice job and I know you said dress shoes are rare but show a resole with Triumph toe plates if you ever get a chance on some Allen Edmonds or some Chicago made Florsheim Imperials.
Awe man... I would have loved to see the build quality of Chippewas! Aaron, maybe next time throw in some lesser known boots, if available. Red Wings are fine, but variety is always good.
Really great job. I think you did a wonderful job of sanding and blending that color , they look fantastic. A definite life save for that pair of boots.
great job i love the way you work the fuck boots, beautiful work, watching you work always so easy, instead there is a lot of passion and professionalism, just love you job.🥾👞👟👠🏆🥇💪
Great job! Nice to see the art of shoe making and repair continuing with the younger generation. Unfortunately, in todays generation everything is considered “disposable.”
How did you learn this trade? I’m a concrete form setter in my early 50 and I’m really interested in working as a cobbler do you have any advice on learning this profession . Thanks
Una pregunta y disculpe la ignorancia. Pero se puede reducir la talla en estas botas? pues tengo unas red wings moc toe talla 28 centímetros pero están un número más grandes que las otras que he comprado y quisiera saber si se le puede hacer algo o no.
Wow, a fantastic transformation. The toe box stitching looks great, Aaron! You are a great craftsman!! I have some 1000 Miles that I will be sending you when they need a sole. I want a split welt on them - we all know you are a welt master!! 🤣 Cheers from Chicago!!

It can if you don’t use the right grit as you saw nothing happened to them!! And that’s because I only remove the accumulated dirt.
Great work Aaron, the before and after on these is incredible.
🙏

Sadly you’re right!!
Great job! They were ready to be buried but you touched them with the magic wand, and gave them a second life.
What grit sandpaper did you use to smooth out the leather uppers?
Pinche jale mamalon

That’s how I learned.

How much does something like that cost ?
These look amazing! Did you sand and dye the uppers?
Thanks!!! Just sand, color cream was good enough!!
And also the lovely Cadillac leather conditioner!!✋🏻😬
