Awesome sauce my dude. I’m running a stage 3 exedy clutch. I’m just FBO. But that clutch is great for the mods that you have. I believe it’s rated up to 700. It cuts out the high rpm lockouts and definitely any slip. Great content bro.
Almost forgot. Get a braided clutch line to save you a shit ton of headache. Otherwise the stock line just expands and won’t let you put the car in gear.
I've had two MT82's my 13 and my 17 Gt's both. I came into them from my old 94 Gt and Cobra manuals that you could just slam into gears no problem. From my experience the MT82 is so much better and the "high RPM" lockout to me is nothing to do with clutch lines, clutches etc. If you put the MT82 in Neutral the spring in the shifter should return it to the center in between 3rd and 4th. What I have learned is when shifting from second to third do not try to forcibly push it into third, but rather just gracefully push the shifter up and let the spring push it to the right. I never had issues once I figured out how to do that and it doesn't not mean you have to shift slow, just how to apply pressure on the shifter, at least it worked for me the MT82 is fantastic imo.

Derek. Get a mcleod clutch and flywheel with an MGW shifter. You can bang gears safely then. MGW is better than barton. I have one on my 02 GT and my friends have them on their 11 GTs

Don’t waste your money on anything but the clutch. Only thing that fixed mine was the clutch itself. I run the mach500 from exedy, and I’d really recommend it
I recommend a MGW shifter. I used to get locked out out 2nd to 3rd at high rpm all the time. Haven't been locked out since. But never had an issue with 1st to second though. Might be that Barton because I came from a stock shifter.
at 9:34 when you start talking about going into second it might be the reverse lockout pin messing it up, when i installed my mgw i had that exact same problem, i just backed the reverse lockout a little bit and it fixed it. You just take the center console off and adjust it. Took about 10 minutes while i was drunk. Not sure if you remember my comment about the mgw/mcleod rst/clutchline comment a couple weeks ago and i don’t remember if i said anything about the clutch line but even the mustang shop i took it to said there’s almost no point in it. And i agree, it didn’t change much for me. And i eventually blew that first trans up. That’s when the rst was added. One piece driveshaft pretty noisy/vibrates a lot too.
I heard you say radials with the SVE drags.... DO NOT get radials. Get a bias ply slick for the manual trans. If you run radials and hard launch it you are gonna blow some stuff up.
I bought a month ago Barton hybrid 3 shifter system and I now have zero lock outs, I had a steeda short throw which I would shift into reverse when shifting into 1st
Shift at 5500 RPM-6000 max from 2nd-3rd it’ll help, from dig no more than 5000 and do it gracefully. The Ford short throw shifter will help, and BRAIDED clutch line
My 12 and 14 both mt82’s have that rough spot going into 2nd and my clutch has stuck to the floor a couple times to where I’ve had to use my foot to pull it up I’m all about seeing how the new master and braided line help( both still on stock clutch with Barton short throws and 2 post bracket)

Since my last comment, my lockouts caused me to completely lose 3rd and 4th. I just yesterday ordered a ben calimer stage 1 mt82, mcleod rst twin disc, braided clutch line, and throw out bearing. Just be careful making it lock you out. Mine did me that way. Nevr even went into the gear, grind or anything and I guess the syncros let go.
Hey Josh, did adding all that solve all your lockout issues? I don't want to swap my tranny as it only has 5.000 miles on it but the lockout is driving me nuts, already have an mgw and still cant shift when pinning the pedal to 6500+.
@@webhito The clutch and braided clutch line along with the new throw out bearing will solve your issues. Mine shifted like a dream all the way up to 7500 rpm and I still had the stock shifter. Never got locked out again after the new parts.

I have an 03 gt and people tell me alot how the tr3650 locks them out of second but I power shift mine as hard as I can with 4.10 gears and I dont get locked out of second. 97% of time anyways lol
@@Bendejo6517 it's not really getting them fixed, you have to replace them and possibly the forks. My whole rebuild cost 1100. 500 for labor then 6 for parts.

Brendan Milteer Slicks are a lot more forgiving. You’ll spin if you launch too aggressively but it’s better than dead hooking with a radial and breaking your driveshaft.

I had high rpm lockout in my 2011 mustang gt, it was the clutch, I upgraded to a rst twin disk, also upgraded the clutch line and throw out bearing.

Get the blowfish Bracket it will solve your problem especially the bracket with your shifter you’ll be set so more lockout or missed gears or grinding

If your going Centri or turbo get a boss manifold better than the 18 for boost but if you're gonna go PD blower get the 18 and sell it later

You should get the steeda tri ax shifter from lmr, and a shifter bracket, I've had the shifter for a few months and its pretty sick

There's a mod for the live axle thatdudeinblue has done to his stang, as I understood from him, it fixes the traction loss and crowd crashing
It’s a watts link on the rear. It dials in the live axle and makes it perform more similar to a irs
