    If the entire world ran on Crown Vic’s, Rangers, and F series trucks with 7.3 or 6.7 power strokes, imagine the absolute bliss the earth would be. Absolute utopia.

      What are Spain’s’ regulations on importing? I’ve heard of quite a few people making them EU legal by swapping out the tail light and tail light harness for the amber turn signal housing.

      @@wadethetrucker The government is very taxing with imports. Yearly paid check ins, homologation costs, not tuner friendly, and if a cop doesn't like you they impound your car away like its not important. The cost of importing a car is not worth it. Easier to buy a newer car every 7 years than to fix or import an old one. Ive got two cars, a 2013 Renault Clio AND A 1996 VW Golf. The Clio is 300 euros of insurance and 70 euros for road tax. The Golf is 800 euros insurance and 200 euros for road tax.

      @@wadethetrucker The EU and its regulations have done irreparable damage to the Spanish tuner scene. Early 2000 was paradise here but now its all white or grey hybrid trash.

    That's something that a lot of people don't realize, lower power engines have much less stress than high horsepower, high compression engines. Lots of horsepower is great but it's not so great for engine longevity.

    great video I’ll have to check out your other stuff. Which has a bigger back seat crown Victoria or grand marquis? I really like the p71 but I think the crown Vic something like you have with leather seats looks nice.

    • @wadethetrucker
      @wadethetrucker  2 місяці тому +1

      They pretty much all have the same back seat, the difference is the quality of the material and what the cushion is. If you want more leg space, you can find long wheel base versions of the Crown Victoria and the Lincoln town car. Id suggest getting the long wheelbase town car over the crown Victoria, since most LWB crown Vic’s were taxis.

    I wouldn't say it is the best car ever made but defiantly the last good car ever made. Full frame, RWD, V8, 4 Door with lots of room. It losses points for me 1. Because I am a chevy guy lol. 2. Because it is overhead cam. 3. Because it is fuel injected and has an ECM. Take the computers out of it and put a sbc in it and it is perfect!

      I have an 05 lincoln town car with the 4.6 and it is great, but I would rather it have the small block 302 ford V8 and it would be even better because 100 less things could go wrong over time. Its a fact that your 1980 up to 1989 Lincoln town car with the 302 V8 outlasted your small block chevrolets as history proved that

    • @The0utmode
      @The0utmode Місяць тому

      @@EarlGuyton425 Not really I know three people with smog era 305 sbc's that are still on the road today with who knows how many miles with the original engine one of them is even a flat tappet cam block the other two are roller sadly. Trust me the 302 ford is great compared to what we have nowadays. But compared to the sbc the ford doesn't even hold a candle. The two biggest flaws with it in my opinion is 1. the timing cover gasket that has coolant passages going through it. Because if that gasket fails you get coolant in your motor oil. that setup also takes up more space under the hood. point number 2. the front mounted distributor this is bad because it is now exposed to more heat being blown on to it from the radiator, and it also means the oil pump and sump is up front which starves the engine of oil under heavy acceleration. There is a reason the sbc is the most race winning engine of all time besides for just cost.

      @@The0utmode The windsor line of ford V8s is better than any of the SBC you speak of. The 220 the 260 and 289 and 302, and not the cleveland 351, but the 351 Windsor. History is proof what I am saying here. Take the 302 windsor, used in vans and pickups and cars with the 302 from 68 up until 1989. Its not about talk that comes from people, but is about history itself. There is also no heat factor from the distributor being in front of the engine as Cadillac also did this on the 472 and 500 and 425 V8s and had no problem. Actually my GM cars with distributor at rear of engine get hotter, such as my 89 cadillac brougham with the olds 307, because when a distributor is mounted in front you get air flow through the center grill as well as the engines fan, so what youre saying is simply NOT TRUE, and cannot possibly be true, because the rear area of any V8 is HOTTER than the front of same engine. There is also no known coolant/water leak that goes through the timing cover. So both your statements are fictional that you heard from some mouths out there. No experienced mechanic would be saying the things you are saying so I know you are a novice individual that listens to what guys babble when they sit around and drink beer. They want for people to like their 72 chevy pickup with the 350, so they make up things. In life go by what you learn and know and dont go by what others tell you.

    • @The0utmode
      @The0utmode Місяць тому

      @@EarlGuyton425 As a mechanic I can tell you that I have had to change many of those annoying timing cover gaskets. I will say the sbf is not as bad as say a mopar 318/360 but it is still a common failure point a point that doesn't even exist on a sbc. Also go down to the drag strip on door slammer class night and show me an external oiling system on a sbc. You cant I bet you any money you can't but on a ford or a mopar it is a must that you run an external oiling system or else the engine won't survive the heavy acceleration.

You got your information from sitting around in some local bar and listening to babble, as I know your type and youre too too ridiculous. Youre dipping into the old shiveys bes bedder dan fods ignorance of the 1970s You cannot erase history of Windsor V8s and their extraordinary longevity especially up through the 80s. • @beef9c1
    @beef9c1 2 місяці тому

    Wade, I can give three reasons the crown Vics is not the best car on the road. First it is a moving time bomb wait to explode. Why you ask? The bad fuel tank location. Many cops dreaded & were aware is this flaw design. There were many reports of cop cars get hit from behind sometimes exploded when pulled over to do an investigation. Ford got word of this problem but nothing much was done to remedy the problem. Second is cops much preferred the Chevy's 9C1 with better vehicle design, faster acceleration, better brakes, simply better cop car than the Crown Vics. I heard that many cops cried when Chevy announce that they will not built any more 9C1 after 1996. Heck, California & many cities & states tried to keep those 9C1 running for as long as they can. Third is those Chevy 91 -96 B-bodies are still in big demand to this day friend. Another thing is there is a video or videos of a black B-body that outrun many P71 & even a police helicopter. A helicopter? Now that is fast. I can't find no reports or videos of Crown Vics/P71 that could outrun a helicopter. I still own one myself. Mine is fully equipped 96 9C1 but without no spotlights, no pushbar & no holes & very decreet. And the fuel mileage is very good on the highways/freeways.

      @luthermoore2969 2 місяці тому +1

      You wrote all that for like Noone to read after you say it's a moving time bomb. You don't know what you're talking about, the crown vic was actually designed to take a 70mph impact in the rear end and still be able to drive, due to its fuel tank location it was in a secure location
