Dragon Fruit Alley Tour With RARE Flowers Blooming
Вставка

- Asunta 4 is blooming for the very first time at Dragon alley and the view was breath taking! It does no justice seeing the Asunta 4’s beautiful flower through a camera. The vibrant colors makes the flower look surreal and feels as if I was dreaming and seeing the perfect Dragon fruit flower. This variety doesn’t only look absolutely stunning but, also taste very exceptional! The best way for me to explain the taste of Asunta 4 would be like imagining yourself on a tropical island, smelling the ocean breeze blowing in the air and tasting notes of mango, watermelon, pineapple, and coconut all in one bite! 🥭🍉🍍🥥

Been watching since I decided to try and grow a few dragon fruits, wouldn't have thought to pick up some of the golden variety if I hadn't. They're delicious! (and now some of the stems have been collected to try and get them to grow.)
so i have red ginas lol, ty richard! i love it!
Your videos are so educational. Thanks for all the info to us the beginners. I did a few trellises and planted some cuttings. What should I do next and how do I know that the cuttings took?

OMG 😱, beautiful dragon fruit flowers, how did you make them flower bc mine I can't, don't even know how cross pollinate them. So beautiful, lots of fruits soon,
God bless
You mentioned about saving some pollen in the freezer for later use. Any idea how long it stays viable if frozen? Thanks, and love your content. I just got my first flower bloom, and it was so fun witnessing the whole process at night. Hopefully it fruits :) much love and good vibes to all, from Philippines!
Nice
Wow. That's amazing and that means the Ecuador is beat up. Where did get all this amazing breed of dragon fruits? I am shocked to see so many varieties.
Can’t wait till u have cuttings!?!?
Hi Richard very beautiful collection you have, I envy you. On asunta 4 I believe that tricia is the mother for asunta 5. they used asunta 4 as the father to pollinate tricia the mother, that's how asunta 5 came to be.
Where did you buy those bag? I like watching your video … being a new DF grower i learn a lot and my husband just made 2 trellis learn from you. Thank you do much for the all those video you created.
Hi Jason an awesome video once again. After picking the fruit do you trim back your dragon fruit plants or just leave them?
I have some dragon fruit plants in my backyard 1 red 1 yellow or white and 1 that I haven’t seen fruit before from my father.
Hope to see how they turn out this coming spring here in oz. I have a short video of them on my UA-cam channel. Thanks for sharing TrickyTrev 👍🌱🐝🍯
Hey Richard can you make a video where you list your top 10 flavors of df. Id be interested in a video where you describe your favorite df flavors
nice video 👆👍
Good Afternoon! Sir,
Very wonderful flowering.
You're doing very grateful job.
Sir, are you from which country? Please! 🙏🙏
Great video where did you get the bags for the flowers? thanks in advance.
sir thanks for sharing!
what is that one covered is it a Plastic cover? 😊
Hopefully Vietnam White will bud in July for us in SoCal.
Thank you so much for these videos. I just cut up a couple of plants and am starting the whole process, but I'd like to know what to do when they do start to bloom. The only info I have is that one is called "Dragon Fruit Delight" and the other is "Hylocereus Dragon Fruit 2". I appreciate any knowledge you can share.
Richard king, 🌷 your orchard so beautiful, on flowering, buds
Wow I can't wait for your website so I can get some cuttings!! My 3 dragons died in the February freeze in Houston 😤😭
Yeah the texas freeze sucked pretty bad...lots of tropicals died...both plants and animals..exotic pets..a few of my mango trees died..one of my boas got sick..hes better now..was rough though..now I'm investing in a greenhouse.
@@technoraptor7778 Glad your boa is better! My papaya's died too
Richard, are you using Floranova bloom at this point now? Or chicken manure?
I have a question. Are there any varieties that set flowers and fruit noticeably faster than others?(from bud to bloom to fruit)
Do you continue using Flora Bloom while flowering season? Thanks.
Have you seen the black dragom fruit. I believe the fruit has spines...?
Where do you get the sheer bags that you use to cover flower?
Have you crossed the Ecuador Palora with anything?
Hey Richard, thanks for the tour. I have a question, is there a way to tell the difference between a self pollinating and a sterile varieties? If you know how, would you consider making a video about it?
I have a few varieties, but one of them won’t fruit no matter how many flowers there are, and it’s done that for years. I don’t know what any of them are called and last year I tried pollinating them but I didn’t cross pollinate them with the other variety’s, just the same plant 🤦🏻♀️
You can try to guess what variety you have by looking at the needles, the shape of the lobes, length of the leaves, branching behavior and color of the plant (if you get a flower you can try to compare the pre-pollinated flowers, and post pollinated flowers). You have to match them to the most similar variety on these variables. If you have a cross between two varieties you will denote the similarities and guess that it is 50% H. Megalanthus and 50% American Graffiti. From there you can look up the fertility.
Same question: plant is doing great magnificent flowers will pollinate and hope for fruition?
If you do sell cuttings. I’d love a Tricia!
How do you know which branch will have buds soon so you cut off the tip?
What type of bags are you using to protect your dragon fruit flowers? What is your source?
Where did you get all your varieties? Asking from Central Florida.
Stunning lots of varieties, how can I get some of those variety..
Was wondering the same thing
Same here
I was given an asunta 5, It has one bud. Is it a self pollinating DF? I only have one so how would I pollinate it.
I want to be plant like that dragon fruit
Hey how's it going, just wondering. My robles red has ants one the buds, is there any issue there?
Thanks for shareing sir .How can l get this variety plants?
Why do the flower buds turn yellow? And where do we find a book to tell me what are the varieties I have.

شكرا 🇩🇿
how many DF varieties you have all in your garden? thanks..
How you can get them to flower in a pot, mine never flower yet so many years already only grow leaves a lot of them. I cut them off to just four or five in each plant. And look after them like babies
Hi Richard. Thank you for this video. Do you have Vietnamese Red, Manila red , Sin Espinas, rainbow, Frankie’s red, and pink panther that you can provide info on? I really appreciate the detailed info . I have these but don’t know much about them yet. Thank you
Do you plant the seeds of cross pollinated fruits to creat new plant?
Please give me some idea on difference about self sterile to self fertile. Thanks
Hi Richard. Can you show more of the buds as they're now forming please?
My tree may have just have its first bud and I'm not entirely sure as it's just emerged, a little red one
Do you ever sell your cuttings?
i have a question why you used plastic cove the flowers?
Question, why is my Physical Graffity Dragon tree flowers didn’t continue to turn into fruit? It fall out!, even i’d pollinate it?
Hi Richard, I'm wondering if I can buy a red Jaina and or asunta pitaya from you? I live near LA. Look forward to hearing from you 😀
Hi Richard or anyone else. Do any of you know where I can buy cuttings and have these shipped to the Caribbean or NY? I’m very interested in having other variations of dragon fruit. I do live in the Caribbean but can also have them shipped to a brother in NY and then 2M.
Where did you get all the name for for these Dragan fruit.
Is there a Dragon fruit group that shares/sells cuttings of the new & different types of fruit? We live in Alhambra and willing to drive to buy cuttings.
How can I get some of your rare cuttings coz I only have 2 kinds of dragon fruit plants. Thank you
How do you get so many buds!!
Do you have any frankies red?
Is cross grafting between two dragon fruit varieties possible? Like ecuador palora seedling grafted to the red type dragon fruit cutting?

I love your videos. They are so helpful. I have some Red skin White flesh traditional dragonfruits plants. I'm looking for the Yellow dragonfruits that are sold in the store. They are so much sweeter. I'm in California Bay Area. If anyone know where I can get a few yellow dragonfruit cuttings, please let me know. Much appreciated !!
Can you tell from flower what kind of dragon fruit it is?
I've been growing my dragonfruit for years and never a flower and long straggly shoots and air roots. I may cut it back and try to re-train it. It never drapes properly on the trellis and I notice how nice and thick your shoots are. Any suggestions for better results??
He tells you his fertilization schedule in another video. Important to use a mycorhizae product like recharge
What kind of soil I'm going to use want to know the name or brand
Also what’s the name of your website again?
How can I save my dragon fruit's flower from rain in rainy season?????
how to remove white mites ? any sugguestion. thank you @
what is the difference between Asunta 4 & Connie Mayer?
Do you have to have dragon skin do walk through the dragon alley?
Oh I had a question....is it normal for new growths to develop dew drops? Like sweet sap droplets on the new nodes?
Yup, that's perfectly normal. I really have no idea why, but all of mine have, I did some research on it, and apparently that's nothing to be concerned about.
@@MetalChipps yeah my sugar dragon does it the most...it just attracts ants is the problem.
Can someone tell me where I can buy a plant this big please 🙏
