- CLASSIC GEAR ALERT!! This time the KORG KROSSFOUR, the weird little brother of the Entrancer and the mythic Kaptivator. I go through this tiny mixer step by step and talk about some of the others in the KORG series as well as why I think this mixer is actually a cool little mixer.

just got one of these a couple months ago, absolutely love it.
Oh God why did you have to tell me about the Korg video gear.
yaaaaaa
I love the feedback!
I didn't know the Corss Four had keying capabilities. Cool stuff.
I know, it's not really mentioned for some reason, it is of course totally non intuitive to use, so maybe it has a bit to do with that.
Great video - thanks! Does it have a proper TBC or can you comment on glitch-proofness?
Cheers!
ha i do the same rubberband trick with my entrancer!
have you ever mucked about controlling it with midi to get cool results? i never got around to it... it seems like a wonderful way to get some in-time effects to go with music but it's a pain
i would love to see a whole video from you about the entrancer if you ever feel up to it. man i love that thing.
the krossfour / entrancer combo is pretty slick
this looks like a lot of fun (especially with the kaosspad included.) Can anything be done about the horizontal lines that seem to show up when there's any fast movement?
the tight interlacing type lines? I think that is the camera I'm using TBH
Does this piece have the static black n white grain effect
More rambling next time! ;-p
hahahahahah!
Do You own the sampler as well ,and could make a video with all of them connected?
sadly no! they are really rare
@@catfullofghosts4478 i found a krossfour for roughly 143$ you think is a good price for them?
@@HTRism Yeah, prices go up and down, a few months ago they were about $300aud, now I'm seeing around $200AUD
@@catfullofghosts4478 any idea how many been made? I had never seen higher serial no than 50
@@lukaszblachnio2803 what! that cant be true, surely they would sell for much more if only that many were made.
Hi, i’ve got the Kaptivator, would like to sell it.
really? do you want to hit me up of FB facebook.com/cfogElectronics
who is the "friend down here"?
what is the time code on that?
@@catfullofghosts4478 06:19 , the playback device with the USB stick.
@@KentBuchla oh its a raspberry pi 2, running a pedia player program that I use to loop videos
i see it has direct rca input which is awesome! if you ever consider making a video on that, it would be much appreciated!!!
Nice, how it behaves as TBC for glitchy input? If it play well it can be the cheapest and smallest solution!
I lave how small it is, and the svid is nice to have as well. Im working on a vid for the Panasonic AWSW-350 which is about the same size, but has like 10 times the features!
@@catfullofghosts4478 wow! didn't know that panasonic mixer, looks very cool! I'm really trying to understand how to TBC glitchy signals, I've got a Panasonic WJ AVE 55 and it kind freeze the image when it receive a glitched signal, moreover is huuuge on my desktop! :D
@@esnho mmmm, yeah, that can be a tough one, lots of digital mixers and TBCs don't really know what to do with glitchy signals. I have has a lot of success using a CRT to display glitchy video and then filming it with a camera to get the glitch as a clean signal that still has the look, but digital mixers like it because the signal from the camera is clean.
@@catfullofghosts4478 that's an amazing work around.
@@catfullofghosts4478 man I just received my “new” AWSW-350, spent 2 hours on it reading the manual and I fell in love! Thanks for the suggestion!
