Thank you very much!!!! That was my idea of CBX cafe racer. Not just removing parts and putting on some expensive suspensions.. I completely agree with you when you say that many projects are not properly designed.. i wanted people to recognise the CBX even if it was in different shapes.. I'm happy to know that you like my project and I hope to show you soon the next.
@@OfficinaMetallica of all the cafe bikes i have seen the tail on yours is perfect. It has flow and beauty. So much better than the little turtle shells most do that look like a after thought. Yours shows real style and craftsmanship. Always wondered why more do not at least graft on a sportbike type tail to look more natural and sporty but yours is perfect. Well done hands down a winner tail end. I lean toward a sporty tail a 1/4 little fairing with low bars. More of a stripped down sport than 60s cafe. I like the modern look of yours hope you do not mind but may use yours as a template for one i am starting to go after. Love seeing different ones for ideas.
I totally agree with you, mate!! My target was to modernize the tail, but not only removing parts.. I redesigned the tail 3 times before I found the actual shape, which, for me, was the best.. I'm honoured that you are inspired by my build, and I'm curious to see your bike. Thank you for your beautiful words!! It's a great pleasure to know that you appreciate my work!!!
@@OfficinaMetallica thanks for sharing your work, good to know there are some real cool designs out there that are not the same old same old. I imagine you get a lot of attention when you ride. I am still deciding on base bike i want to use in us the kawi 500 ninja though a twin has decent power and chassis and good aftermarket. I am smallet guy 5 7 135lbs and the 500 fits me but i want to make it more sporty and stripped down for function and weight. Every pound lost is better performance. Hard to find goid base 4 cylinder state side for good price.
Mate, you can't even imagine how I get attention riding HER. She's just my creature, and when I'm riding, I'm just looking forward, backwards and the sides all the time🤣🤣 but it's really a good sensation to know that my bike is unique because I made it! I think Kawa is a good base!👍 the twin is good because it's enjoyable at low revs, too.. if you wish, you can find me on Instagram and Facebook. Superb. Beautifully proportioned, unlike many cafe racer projects. Congratulations of your achievement Ruggedly handsome UJM lump a great base for such a project. The star inserts in the Sumitomo front calipers would look better in black, against the red of the caliper body perhaps?
Love the tail piece most cafe bikes have same ugly after though tail this is art. Would love to see more cafe bikes do this or graft on newer sport bike tails or fiberglass made custom ones. Nice bike
Thank you so much!!! After a long time thinking about the tail, I decided to take inspiration from the 80's Porsche 911. I don't like the usual bended tube, and I designed it to modernise the old tail.. Happy to know you liked it!!!
@@OfficinaMetallica i have seen many with the same basic ling flat seat little tail. Yours reminds me kind of early kawasaki ninja 650 tail not a lot but just enough to look sharp. I have pondered ine similar to 80s kawi gpz 550 tails but a little more rounded. I have ayed with making shapes with light card board the laying fiberglass. I do not have your metal skills, you are true artisan with metal, tip of the hat.
You need to get multiple shots from multiple angles and host them where we can see more of this bike. If you do respond on this video with where we can look at them thanks
I have to do a shooting, and then I'll post the pictures! Now, I'm working on an onboard video.. soon, I'll post it on this channel. And next the photos😊
@@OfficinaMetallica thanks it looks awesome. Also give some details on some parts you used luke Guage cluster mirrors lower fairing etc. You have given me some ideas to toy with on a project. Thanks and again awesome bike.
Yes, of course. It's an advanced level transformation. I don't know what your target is, but in most cases, you can't only cut the rear frame to shorten the bike. I had to rebuild all the rear frame. Good luck my friend!!!
Thank you, mate!!!! That was on purpose!!! It was my target from the beginning!! I know very well the x-axis build, because it's probably the most famous cbx 750 build, and I ever thought that the tail was too short and too skinny as you told! I wanted to maintain the two seats and, meanwhile, to shorten the tail giving it a continuous with the beautiful tank!
interesting video ,,,, awful music , could have done with some build commentary , would love to know what rear shock you used , mine just failed . and what combination of front end parts ?
Hi mate, sorry for the music, but I like it very much! This video was made only for showing all the work behind my CBX transformation, but only for entertainment. It's not a technical video or tutorial. However, the rear shock is from cbr1000-rr 2006, and the front end came from r6 2000 (triple clamps, forks, and brake calipers). I kept the original wheels.
@@OfficinaMetallica thanks so much for the reply , ill look into the shock suggestion , cant find valid information on a suitable other model replacement .very nice work on the front end , great to use the original front wheel as well. thanks again .
That was truly some very nice craftsmanship!
