Thanks for the details! If your application get rejected for the first time, do we need to re-apply? How much is the fee?
Very rarely Skill visa application gets rejected because if you provide evidence for education and work experience qualifications for the points you claimed you should be getting the visa. Also you can’t be applying for this if you don’t get an invitation from Australia government. This visa is not like a visit visa.

As we heard that category of Visa is getting delayed further we are planning to apply for 189 visa ? Do have to withdraw the existing visa ? is it possible to withdraw a visa like that ?
No need to withdraw. You can apply for 189. But first submit the EOI. If you get invitation for 189, then after lodging the visa you can withdraw 476.

It depends.. if you get the English exam score in one go then I would say for 189 you can get the whole thing done within 10months
For me it took in total 1.5 year. 9 months to get Pte scores, skill assessments, partner skill assessments, state nomination and another 9 months after lodging the visa. So in total around 18 months.

When submitting the EOI I am single, and when I get the invitation, I am married. What happens in that case?
That’s a tough one. I don’t know to be honest. I think u can’t apply logically. You need to lodge a new one. Because you need to prove what’s in your eoi at the time of invitation.

Hi, I have a problem regarding 189 and 491 visa's.
I have applied 491 visa before 5 months and still it is in initial stage from NSW.
Again my wife apply for 189 and she got an invitation. Can we proceed 189 without withdrawing of 491 or what is the legal side of this matter. Your kind advice please.
Hi Saman, I’m not a lawyer. So you best consult a lawyer for legal advice. Based on what I know and read, you can apply for 189 and keep 491 EOI. But the moment you get 189 visa withdraw your 491. Because always new visa supersedes the old visa. But what I don’t understand is why are you keeping 491 when you already received 189 invitation. 189 is the best visa no conditions attached. If you got invitiation that means you gonna get the visa unless you claimed points incorrectly in your EOI. 491 is a 5 yr visa and you have to apply later for PR and also 491 it’s a bit of a process. 189 is very straight forward. You can stay where ever you want. So why you thinking to keep 491.
