Thank you..another good song & this was written by Hyunsik & Changsub. Their Killing Me performance in their 2018 concert was much powerful & Eunkwang's adlibs there was longer & higher. But I understand what you're saying in their performance here. Yes, Eunkwang almost lost it and had that raspy voice but he was able to push through. Melodies are so used to BTOB's imperfections..not because they always make mistakes but because they let us know their mistakes..even show us some funny stuffs and behind the scenes where their voices crack or went wrong. They are not ashamed of those. Changsub had a lot of voice cracks before..even had a legendary debut stage with the song IMAGINE where his voice cracked & his members never made him forget it, haha. It's not because he can't sing but always sleeping & skipping on vocalizing before the show so he usually had voice cracks before. They even had a concert where they dressed up the same as their debut stage & sang the song where Changsub's voice cracked..and he did the same crack deliberately. He even prepared and rehearsed that same crack so it would sound the same as before & really made Melodies laugh & love him even more. They are like that. About emotions..they are full of emotions when they sing. They remain true to their motto: "We don't sell albums, we sell emotions." They are so good at heartfelt ballads that it's been joked that they must have gone through a dozen divorce already, haha. Rappers are also good with their emotional raps..their 3 rappers write their own raps and parts that's why they all differ in style and rhythm and these differences only make their songs sound better and uniquely theirs. BTOB songs are so hard to categorize..it's been said that BTOB is a genre in itself.😉
I think that I always like to say this because it is so true, I love KPop, I love their ability to just be super heroes on stage, they always have the craziest yet perfect vocals, I like to see these real moments where you see those imperfections, as I grew up thats what always made me like punk rock, it was those imperfections that to me show me who you are as a musician, and total props to Eunkwang power through that! it was so awesome. wait, so once in awhile I see a clip of an idol having that voice crack and then the other member looks at him wide eyed, is that Changsub and Eungkwang? that is a good group motto! I like that! they are! and I think Penial does it so good! but Minhyuk is not to be underestimated
@@Killdeer25 yes, that's Changsub! Non melodies and other people get surprised when they see that clip where Changsub had that terrible voice crack and the members looked at him wide eyed. People thought he messed up on live concert..when it was really staged and well executed by Changsub himself..even sharing clips of him rehearsing that same crack so it would look genuine. The real voice crack happenend in 2012 while the staged one was 2018 I think. Also, all 3 rappers are really good at their raps. All differ in style and intensity but essential to the beauty of their songs.
This is one of my favorite BTOB songs so I'm glad you reacted to it. I'm so used to watching a different performance of "Killing Me" (ua-cam.com/video/oIhqkeRIJLw/v-deo.htmlsi=ESBtOqxeAPGW1n8k ) that I was expecting Eunkwang to slide up into the key change here (7:23). I see what you mean about powering through to get back on track. That man is incredible. This song's main composer was Hyunsik (blonde hair with the vocal phrasing you liked). He's one who can do just about anything musically. This is one of many of their songs that I wish they had concert recordings for on Spotify. See you in the next reaction!
you like the concert versions more that the studio? I think that was very much the point that I was expecting as well, but I will say the way they handled that was actually really well done, it almost didn't even seem like that was a natural moment
So good! I don't remember hearing this one before. That long note recovery is Eunkwang and you are so right, I've seen singers make a mistake and then just trail off and regroup for the next line. But it's so impressive that he just had the confidence to just correct it in the moment. I'm pretty sure all of BTOB's vocalists have degrees in musical performance on top of their idol training. I know Hyunsik (the blond you were commenting on his emotional note ending and Changsub went to a very prestigious university that only has very limited spots each year. Also, until you pointed it out, I hadn't thought about how different their rapping style is because it's true, BTOB has mostly very emotional songs. They aren't big on the hype songs that most groups do so they don't rap in that style. There probably won't be too many gym playlist songs this week unless I somehow have totally missed that side of BTOB.
I admit that one thing that I always look up before I start an OWC is what is the group known for? (usually I ask Google 😅) but the thing they said was they are known for their emotional tracks, and I think that I am starting to see that, I think they have had a few funner tracks as well, but I do think that they have a really good sense of emotional intelligence, if that make sense! I dont know if I have seen such elite humor and yet emotional music
This is one of my favorite live songs, nah i love then all, but this one and L.U.V are very special. And believe it or not the 2018 this is us concert it's even better, to me 😅 I was wondering if you'd like to react to their MV when they are recording the songs
BTOB members still opted to sing Live even they are not feeling well. Lipsync is a Big No No for them, so we used hearing their imperfections like voice cracks. One of their recent fan-con where Changsub sang a little cause he was advice by his doctor to refrain from singing due to his vocal nodules, so he opted to lipsync at that time and he apologized to the audience for that. So in the concert Melodies were the one to sang his part. Those imperfections made Melodies appreciate BTOB more
They will rather make a mistake and pause wich is the prove that they never use any auto-tune or filters.I have even seen some run out of breath pause and continue and because they use live musicians on stage it can be done.

Killing Me version i liked is the one from the 2018 concert version. Their adlibs there are fire 🔥

It's been a while since I listened to this one and I think I forgot how good it was lol.
yeah, this is wildly done

@@Killdeer25 The duality, always crying in their music videos, always clowning offstage. 😆
Beautiful 🤍
