This was an excellent video. For my first time I'm making an OESD egg, and it has fabric in it. Have you done a video with fabric in your design, and if so, where can I view it. Thank you, and loved the video!
We have not created a video of adding fabric to a freestanding lace design. We have discussed how to do it as part of other videos but have not shown how to do it. We will pass on the request to our creative team so they can add it to their list. 🙂
Thanks for the video! I ended up monogramming “Pressing Cloth” on my OESD pressing cloth because I was grabbing for it when I wanted batting. Then, I added a piece of ribbon so I could hang it on a hook.
Thank you so much Reva. I did not think I would be interested but you managed to peak my interest. This video was great fun and you really are an amazing teacher.
What a wonderful tutorial. Thank you so much. I am a beginner and excited to try this. Do you have a suggestion of where I would get Husqvarna Epic pre-wound bobbins?
Multi-needle machines are excellent for stitching free-standing lace designs. You would load the design, prepare your thread colors, and start stitching. If you have specific questions, give us a call, and we would be happy to assist you 1-800-687-5175.
My FSL often times does not meet the different sections as I am embroidering. Is there something I can do to fix the Brother Luminaire 3 to have the sections meet correctly?
If I am understanding correctly, the sizes just aren’t quite the same when you go to put them together. If that is the case, then it isn’t being stabilized correctly. You may want to check that the hoop is tightened properly and take a look at which stabilizer you are using.
We carry a lot of the free standing lace designs from OESD. You can find them on our website here www.qualitysewing.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=free+standing+lace
Great Video!!! But I have a question, where do you find threaded bobbins for my Bernina B830 LE? So far, no AD have them, and they say Bernina doesn't have them either, so I have to thread the bobbins myself. Which is the weight of thread you use in the bobbin? 60 weight? Thanks for your reply and for your great video!!!!
BERNINA bobbins are unique and you will want to wind your own. When starting a new project I pre wind a few so I am ready. It is like having custom prewound bobbins. Try using the Embellish thread for the bobbins in a coordinated color. It is very fine weight thread so it will not add bulk to your embroidery and comes in many colors. www.qualitysewing.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=embellish+thread ~Reva
Here is where you can find more information about the pressing cloth. You can even order it online www.qualitysewing.com/oesd-perfect-embroidery-press-cloth.html
I just did snowman 2 as my first project was so much fun I can’t wait to choose the next one
