Prime hat 55 Watt, die Reef flare hat 160 Watt. Den Unterschied kennst du? Das sind 2 ganz verschiedene Systeme.
I was going to add two AI when I get my new tank, I’m only three months in & upgrading already 🤦🏻♂️🤣 but I think I’ll get the same light, thanks for the video/ information fella.
No problem, glad I could help! This is a much neater solution and also gives out a much stronger and nicer light than the primes so I'd highly recommend it 👍

Hi Ross.. I bought a tank ..cake with reef flare bars.. I think there still on his app in setting .. what app do I need for the timer etc please
I have an AI Prime16hd on order but since ordering I have come across these Reef Flare pros. I your honest opinion should I cancel the order and get the reef flare s instead. It’s going on a 20” cube? Which gives the best look to the human eye and which gives the least disco effect as I can’t stand that ? Thanks
Hello Jim, in my honest opinion I think the reef flare pro blue is a much better option, I prefer everything about the light, you don't get any disco effect from it either so it's a brilliant choice, I still run the ai prime on my 15g but given the choice I'd choose the reef flare pro blue S for that tank too

Nice light and nice guide. I love all my reef factory gear, app is so good and easy to use. I have to say though, comparing it with an ai prime was not great in my opinion, if it doesn't look brighter and have more coverage then something would be terribly wrong. Ai prime is 55w and the RF is 160w not to mention considerable difference in puck size and the fact there are two. I think you would have been better comparing to a hydra or something like that with 2 pucks.
Thank you, its a brilliant light, im really impressed, the comparison was for 2 reasons, the first was to show what I had planned to use and now what I am using, and the 2nd was because it was the AI prime 16hd that I had bought for the tank originally before getting the reef flare pro, I wasn't going to go out and buy a hydra just for a comparison video. This was the only comparison I could do.

The S would be perfectly fine for this tank yeah but I wanted to go a little bigger and run it lower so I could upgrade again
Still love look of this light even if you have to make adjustments for it to fit. What’s the recommended height to have it above the water?
Yeah its a brilliant light to be honest, the recommended height is 300mm above the water which is what I have mines set at

They are nice they where developed from a group of people from R2R. U really can’t compare to the one puck of AI prime. More like AI 32 Hd
Yeah they are brilliant, agreed but I don't have the budget to go out and buy a 32hd so I had to go with what I had, I still think it shows the colours off well tho and as I was planning to use the 16hd I feel this shows the difference in what I was going to have compared to what I have now
