DIY Bolt Stretch Gauge for UNDER $30. I Made Mine for FREE Out of Things I Already Had in the Shop

In the process oof of putting together the 393W I am building I wanted a stretch gauge to as an extra measuring toll to verify rod bolt torque specs. The price of a ready made tool is quite a bit so I decided to make my own.

Man what a terrific video I don’t believe I will ever need a stretch gauge, but your instructions on how to construct one was absolutely superb. by the way What watch is that you’re wearing? Looks like one of the ones I have or had that my father used to wear all the time

Glad you liked it, let me ponder the valve spring a bit. I have a store bought clamp down unit but it is a pain to use.
