The 325c64 is most famous for John Lennon using it without a doubt
Great demo, much appreciated... I've had a 360 for about two years now and it has quickly become my favorite guitar.... :)
Good demo! By the way, Rickenbacker is pronounced with a short A, not a short O.
I've just bought a 350v63 in Jetglo, a full scale version of the 325 seen here. This thing excites me. Playing on the Tweed setting on a Tone King Falcon, with little compression (boss CS-3 pedal) it sounds fantastic. The neck and action is really easy to play and this guitar is loud. Play it with some crunch and you'll have the coolest guitar around.
Can you please maybe upload a video of that beauty? Thanks
@@PillsBuryDoughBoy_ I will. I just need some good gear to video it!
Such as a hardware camera instead of a phone or a tablet?
KentuckyBourbon Fade I got my 350v63 Fireglo in December with a fender 65 revenue reissue, it’s an amazing guitar
Is It John Lennon and George Harrison?
I almost thought I was going to get a Rickenbacker for my first electric guitar, before I discovered they were not meant for an upstart player.
At 4:40, it actually sounds almost like a Strat in the 4th toggle position, both middle and neck.
Does the 350 function and sound like the 325, despite being full scale?
My first electric was a 330. Still my go-to guitar.
I need to know what those songs you're playing in the beginning are. Just incredible.
As someone who owns both a modded 320 and a 325v63, the 325c64 didn't sound anything remotely like it's supposed to sound.
You're running those through a Fender amp, thus getting that crap Fender quack that I hate so much. The best transparent amp for Ric demos are Roland Jazz Chorus.
RickenbacKer not RickenbacHer.
Why do so many guys get caught up in those vibratos that are too wavy? Seems like a couple years ago everyone started doing that....it doesn’t sound good
It's not the guitar, it's how it's EQ'd and it's going through a Fender amp which never to my ears pairs well with 325s. They should have used Vox or better and more transparent, a Roland Jazz Chorus.
Trust when I say, you are not hearing anything close to what the 325 sounds like. I own a 325v63. It chimes and it does have balls when overdriven, which is fun.
The vibrato is useful and functional.
@@joellebrodeur1015Agreed. They're making it sound terrible. Lol
what's overdrive do you use?
Love the sound of Rickenbacker 4001/4003 basses, but, the guitars are not among my favorites...especially that 325C64, it sounds like it got stuck being a bad imitation of the 2 and 4 positions of a Stratocaster .....
Thom Lenahan That’s what they’re supposed to sound like. Listen to some early beatles stuff where John’s playing the same guitar. It’s a niche sound better suited for 60s music.
And yet, the Steppenwolf jam they do at the end of the video features the 360 dishing out a very believable Proto metal crunch.
