When a poor person can't pay mortgage I'm sure he has no problem with the bank seizing their house. All of a sudden when it's Trump going backrupt seizing his luxury properties is persecution.

TBH, as a former South Minneapolis resident, it's pretty much anyone making less than six figures (1995 numbers), regardless of skin, ethnicity, heritage. I wish all golf courses could only exist in highland and cliffs. Impossible for cars there, so you'll have to walk, and carry you own shit, and if the ball goes near a cliff you can either accept defeat right there or risk your life trying to hit it from there closer to where the flag is; each player has each their flag which has to be thrown like a speak, and you have to try and hit the flag your opponent threw, and they need to hit yours.

When half the country doesn't vote, it's real easy for either side to pull from that massive pool of normally non-voters. It's much easier to convince a non-voter to vote if they think one side of being unfairly prosecuted/election interference nonsense. This is a VERY powerful message for people who barely know what's going on, and that's most Americans unfortunately.

It's pretty shocking how these civil cases are being done before the criminal ones. He could easily still win the election and just not have to face any consequences for anything. They had three entire years to put him in jail and they failed and now American democracy has a 40% or so risk of ending come January 2025.

He should have been in jail long ago. It's really an indictment of our legal and political system that a career criminal just commits crimes over and over and just gets minor slaps on the wrist and even if he doesn't pay people and commits fraud, I doubt he actually is forced to pay everyone back. Instead it's "buyer beware."

So Luntz's take is that, basically, before you try to enforce the law, you should first consider political consequences. Don't prosecute Trump because he'll gain popularity, that's what he's saying.
If that's the case, wouldn't the pursuit of Trump's punishment against the Democrats' alleged interest indicate that they're NOT politically motivated? It's a self-defeating argument.

Playing politics would be not following through with what the law says. He doesn't get to be treated differently just cuz he was president before. You do the crime, you paid the fine. You do the crime, you do the time. That's how it works. Equal justice under the law is what we're supposed to have. If that riles up his base of hogs, so be it.

Luntz is responsible for the weaponization (hate that overused word) of language against Dems. “Never say Democratic, say Democrat so the listener hears ‘rat’ as the last impression”. As in “Defeat the Democrat agenda”…that’s one of Frank’s. Also, swapping out the term ‘Estate Tax’ for ‘Death Tax’ influenced tax legislation in the 90s. ‘Pro-life’ is his…so is ‘partial birth abortion’…the recent furor over CRT isn’t Frank’s child directly, but the demonization and inflation of some conjured grievance (like an abortion procedure that is performed in less than 00.002% of cases or pretending a graduate-level sociology course is being taught in kindergartens) is the same page from a 25 year old playbook.
