I distinctly remember sections of this short being used in 101 Dalmatians as the first show Jasper and Horace watched on the TV. Ironically enough, while the soundtrack for Springtime plays unaltered and uncut in the movie, what is shown on the TV screen doesn't match up one-to-one with the short in its original form. The soundtrack is played actually about 8 seconds ahead of the visuals in 101 Dalmatians.

@@emiliopolanco8587 Perfect timing that you posted a link to that scene, as it just so happens to have been 25 years since the live action remake was released. I have just finished watching the animated version of 101 Dalmatians, and this was the exact cartoon Jasper and Horace's TV was playing! I couldn't remember how old I was when Watching 101 Dalmatians before watching this, but when I was a Toddler, I watched 101 Dalmatians when I see the puppies watching this silly symphony short, never realize that it was real, I only thought it was fake (like Thunderbolt and What's my crime), but months later, I watched it airing on "Disney channel" I couldn't believe it! I was surprised to see the real cartoon from 101 Dalmatians aired on my TV!
This short film uses many sections and movements from the classic Opera "Dance of the Hours", many of which Walt would then use again for the Ostrich, Elephant, Hippo and Crocodile dance segment from Fantasia.
This is the same cartoon that Jasper and Horace are watching in the original 101 Dalmatians. This early one is quite similar to Flowers and Trees. The music carries the story along without any dialogue.
About 4:24, pause and you'll find out that the spider has six legs, which is incorrect because spiders have eight legs, not six, and spiders are arachnids, not insects.

3rd Silly Symphony has a LOT (way too much) of klop klop klopping, and looked to be the model for Merry Dwarfs (SS 05), but this is a much better cartoon, having some good graphic points of interest, the rather grisly devourings, and an early, perhaps first, appearance of what would become Flip the Frog, who perhaps should be called Flip the (quacking) Frog. The black, frog swallowing, egret in the end looked really nice.
