I went to Singapore during May 2023 for work, but I had to go sneaker shopping too. I checked out all the cool stores like Snkrdunk, but you never guess what else is sitting on shelves on the normal stores like JD and Footlocker!

Don't be mistaken. The reason many shoes are sitting there is because there is no resell value at that point of time (am sure you know better), usually size 10 onwards are already sold out upon release. JD is one of the vulture hunting ground for resellers; such as local young boys trying to make some quick bucks, ultra wealthy China boys, Indonesia friends. JD is very well-known for poor customer service especially at Orchard ION, I won't part my money to JD at all. East Eight is also another notorious place with over-priced sneakers run by China man, probably because of the prime location, unfortunately they buy in hype shoes at a higher price, the shop don't forge a community except reselling sneakers and hype streetwear. only tourists go there to buy for their shopping leisure. I will give you a like for the effort.
Thanks for your insights mate, I appreciate the perspective of the sneakers scene in Singapore and yeah I can imagine it would be swamped with neighbouring resellers from other countries for hyped shoes and during the last few years 😀

Not in the stores that I was at, some yeezys have infinity laces where it's more of a slip on...let me have a look for you the next time I go sneaker shopping 😀
