He's looking more curious now, than anxious. Demeanor is much less reactive, and he seeks your support .Well done, Tim. He's lucky he found you.❤
Exactly👆 He was reacting to everything he did not understand before. Now he is turning that into curiosity and thinking about it.
Sabre is so much calmer and focussed on you rather than everything outside the arena
What change do I notice first? He's less reactive. He is soooo willing, I am impressed with him.
He doesn't seem so scared of everything. He looks for your approval. It's really nice to see him engaging with his world and not a stallion stuck in a stall. He's beautiful.
He is sooo gorgeous. Agree, I'm glad he's not an isolated Stallion anymore.
And I'm so glad you're training him not to be so reactive, Tim!!!
Sabre can think through things more easily. It's a joy to See, hes a lot more confident in your leadership his world is a better place
I am learning so much from these videos. I have an Arabian horse and not many trainers want to help me with him. I appreciate you showing the progress, your patience, the good and the challenges you’ve had with Saber.
He's less reactive, he's calmer, even though he's still spunky. He's such a gorgeous, good boy.
He starts listening, he is much more relaxed and in a state of mind where he can learn. I realy like how focused he got in this video. ❤
He has become quieter - more confident in himself and man as leader and you and Robert are both helping him in reaching his potential by giving him that necessary confidence through exhibiting patience and good will towards him as he tries to figure out the world around him and what is being asked of him. He has personality for days!!! As always - great horsemanship and teaching Tim! Thank you so much!
He is bonding with you and beginning to understand a human can be safe. There is definitely an understanding between the two of you. He knows you are safe and he knows you really care about his well being ❤️
He is looking to you for direction and he is taking cues from you instead of just reacting
The differences I see are: his try is so much better! He leads with you as a partner, rather than ignoring you. He’s SO SMART and willing. What a personality! He likes a job and to be busy.
What do I notice most? I am sitting here enjoying watching you remove Sabre's fears like burrs out of his mane. Having worked Arabians I am sure you know what a loyal and courageous heart lurks under that glossy hide. I am envious of the owner. When they take him home and make him their partner, none will try harder or give more. I am sure he will be an excellent long distance trail horse. They are so lucky.
biggest change i've noticed is more consistent 2 eyes on you and his thinkin brain engages quicker!
He's very sweet and looks to you for your approval. He's a lot less former stallion already 😊
I am addicted to your videos and I don’t even have a horse…Saber is so calm now since the first time you showed him. Great progress…beautiful animal..
He seems to be listening to you much better now. Great job.
Good job, I see a big change in Sabre. He looks relaxed and calm . Even though Arabians are “high spirited “ there’s no reason they can’t relax. You boys have worked hard to make a positive change in this horse.
He has definitely learned to engage the thinking side of his brain. His fears have largely been overcome, he shows so much less reactiveness. He has learned to trust.
His confidence has improve a lot , good job you have so much patience 👍
He's learning to focus more on you, and that he doesen't need to be concerned by everything around him. His mind seems quieter. And probably the first time I've seen him lower his head (curious and inspecting the mounting block).
Don't think he even registered it before, he was so wrapped up in his own world🤣
He has changed ....looking at you, listening and looking for reward; and liking it! He is learning that you are asking him to perform and he is "thinking"!! I like the changes.....all positive! Performing does not always mean "move"! Standing is critical...thinking is too!
He's not being drawn to the other horses out there. I think ppl need to remember that he has been thru changes with his body as well. He was gelded and now learning how to be around other horses. I think he's wonderful and is doing excellent 👏
His whole body looks so much more relaxed! He also is holding his head much lower, for the most part. And he is keying on you a ton more. He should be a much safer Cadillac ride when he goes home. Great horse, and excellent job, Tim! Thanks!
The biggest change is his demeanor. At first, his movements were more like a park horse, head high, extremely animated. Today, his neck was in a more natural frame: his ears were relaxed. He seems to me to be an extremely intelligent horse, maybe smarter than most people who have worked with him!
Ok, another equine americanism I don't understand ... what is a 'park horse'?
@@Sine-gl9lyPark horses are very animated in their leg movements. They almost prance. The really high end park horses will have their front legs go well above level when flexed.Their heads are very upright and they are very puffed up and excited.
@@retiredairforce5111Thanks for that; is it a specific breed, or a show classification, or what? A riding horse, or a driving one like the hackney? It's not something I've ever heard of!
@@Sine-gl9ly The video is of Sabre’s dad. You can see how a Park Horse moves. They can be ridden or driven. Morgan’s have Park horses as well. It is a style much like a horse will be more western or English. You can enhance a horses ability but it is not really something you make. Park horses have it in them or they don’t. A great cow horse has it in them. You can get them to give you some of it but if they don’t have it, you can’t really create it. Park horses are the same. It is more of a “show” thing. High end Park Horses are very expensive.
@@retiredairforce5111 I think the link to any video has been removed ... I'll search for one. This 'Park Horse' thing is a very interesting concept and not anything that I've ever heard of - and I've lived and worked in a dozen different countries.
He's learning to control his emotions beautifully. Now he can relax, lower his head, stop the constant scanning for threats, and learn. He looks so much happier, and the lovely floating Arabian carriage is still there. ❤
Ohh yay love sabers videos so nice to see how he is coming along❤thank you so much for sharing his journey…to me he seems more trusting of you and more relaxed..you sir are an amazing trainer ……
I noticed the change in his curiosity, confidence and control of his emotions. Seems like it happened suddenly, but I can see many hours of work here!
He is definitely thinking more instead of just panicking
He has gained in confidence. Your patient approach has made it possible.
Wow! Like a totally different horse here.
The basic difference I see in Sabre now is his "connection" with you. The lower head, tail, more relaxed body and feet...and so interesting to watch these changes happen along with your use of a whip plus compassionate, firm direction. Thank you!
He seems far less reactive and more wiling to look to you for direction. It's wonderful to see him understand that he's safe and can trust you to work as a team.
I just adore Saber! He has a big personality and I love it! He is gonna make someone a good ol trusty steed one day!
Mr. tim, you do a good job with the horses. Have a nice day with him. Good luck he is doing a good job with it 🐎🐎🐎🐎good job Mr tim
Always glad to see a Sabre video.
Saber is looking for you to be leader! When ge gets worried, he literally looks to you to answer what do I do questions! ❤ can see his confidence in himself for choosing you and also for getting his responses right! I mean, we are witnessing Saber blossom with every video! Thankyou so much for sharing! Beth, Saber Fan Club, in very southeast Georgia! 🐎 💕
He’s far less distracted. More interested in figuring out what you’re asking of him and willing to do so.
His energy is much more under his control. Before he was all scattered and reactive not really showing a lot of fear except of the cows. His scattered attention meant that every little thing startled him.
Head down...consistently
He's learnt to enjoy praise from a human and is seeking how to get more. He has thus become hooked on learning.
Just fantastic horsemanship ❤ thanks again!
I think he’s a quick learner and he looks to you for direction and ultimately he’s giving you his trust. That’s a big deal.
He really is looking for your praise. What a good boy. X
His confidence level is so much higher, he was so uncertain of almost everything. He is doing amazing, someone is going to end up with a phenomenal horse.
Right at the beginning of the video, my first thought was how much he's coming to trust you. Plus, he's now actually looking to you for reward.
biggest change..he's a lot less flighty and he's trusting you more.
Head is down and looks to Tim for some comfort. Much calmer and attentive. Progress!!! 👊🏻
He is much more relaxed and focused.
He’s learning really fast and trusts you.
He's showing more trust, more engagement, despite his occasional lapses of attention.
The biggest change I see is he trusts you!
I love his kind eye. He's a intelligent horse and sure seems willing to learn.
He is concentrating on you for the first time I have noticed
Good morning guys, Great job as all way's. Thank you for Video Tim and Melinda.😄
They answer is no, as you said before, do not rush things. That sounds sensible to me ,anxiety starts with you, and can be transferred to the horse that you are training. ❤😮😊
He is becoming more trusting!
Hi Tim I have been enjoying seeing Saber's progress. Saber has many challenges was a stallion for 7 years therefore was not socialised with his environment including other animals due to being a stud, the an obstacle of how was he initially trained to the saddle. Yes Saber has learnt heaps 🎉. Acknowledgement to Tim and Robert for their work. I to for years professionally rode Arabians and bred and owned Quarter horses. You can't train all breeds the same as Tim has informed before on several recordings. Tim keep up your great recordings. Kerry
Fabulous progress Tim, you sure do know how to get their mind involved. Saber is going to be a rock star in no time.
Nice to see him starting to calm down and pay attention
His focus has changed for out of the arena to being more focused on you and what your asking him to do.
Like you said he WANT to be good..he just didn't understand how..how to be in with you..he didn't know he could control the nuclear power plant that's pumping in him..he's now learning that he can..wait till he learns that not only can he tamp it down but he can pick it up use it and put it bk down at HIS will..that instead of the human trying (which never works)to control it he does..they will pretty much chose calm over spastic..and they say a arabian can't walk calm head down..they need to see this series..
This method is the very reason stock whips can be cracked on over and above and around...working horses where its of daily work...
Thanks for explaining the the difference re how handled with each and various breeds
How nice was that!!!
And it seems to me he trusts "you" already a lot. Can that be?
Sabre is definitely less scatter brained... He's standing so much better, less feet movement and reaction, he is on you more . He isn't circling around you either. He s walking with you not trying to run in front of you.hes not constantly staring at the cows and everything outside the arena!!! He's learning you are the better deal.hes so much more trusting in you now!! He's standing nicely
I find your videos with Saber really interesting! I am not a Western style rider, but some things are working just the same and horsemanship is horsemanship I learn.
I am very curious if he ever gets reliable and starts to trust people and is able to calm down 🙂 I sure hope so! He is a wonderful horse. Please keep on showing videos about him.🤗
Arabians are kinda like that to a large extent...
Saber is focusing on you, not external stimuli! 6:39
They're watchy, but that's about it. @@Channelinterrupted
His head is a lot lower and his body is less tense. He’s still curious about everything around him but his focus comes back to you sooner.
What a difference! He's (mostly) taking a moment to check out _his human's_ reaction before exhibiting his own. Ok, he needs to take more than a moment, and he needs to do it more consistently - but he's starting to 'get it'.
BTW, I'm glad you call a lunge whip by its proper name instead of submitting to the snoeflayke brigade who 'don't like' the name and insist that it be called a 'stick and string'. In the wrong hands, a 'stick and string' does as much, or more, damage than any lunge whip.
This is like 30 days and he still has some stallion flowing through his veins. To see him stand when things are happening around him is such a big improvement. You can see him lick his lips and show he is thinking. In the beginning it was all instinct and reaction. The brain is engaging now.
You are amazing❤
He seems really looking to you for leadership. Amazing
Had you popped that lunge whip on day 1, he'd still be running. Great job on taking the time it takes for him to learn to become a true partner. Blessings from NW Florida!
He really trust you now, we can see how he choose to be your partner when something new or scary happens.
Biggest change---FOCUS.
Saber is more focused and paying attention to you and not the cows or other horses. I think Saber is going to be an great competition trail riding horse.
Looks like he's eating well. Could be my old eyes, but I swear he's getting a bit more of a belly. He may not want to leave you, Tim! :D
Your are doing this with really good timing. That’s the more difficult for us , to be in time with the right reaction….❤🐴
Just the position of his head and tail are completely changed. I noticed that at the beginning of the video. Its like he is a different horse in terms of "im okay right now" when he never seemed to think that in earlier videos.
I love him so much. Such a cute good boy. I think he would make the most amazing hunt seat horse. I have had 2 Arabians best horses I’ve ever owned.
He’s not in a complete panic.
Nice improvements 👍🏼 I’m enjoying watching along. He seems to be getting his mental focus more “down to Earth” and giving more “try”. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Could all their movement be because they are not a lazy breed? They like work. I just thought of that thanks to your work with him.
Saber can be still now in feet and in mind. So beautiful as he learns to be peaceful. Really enjoying his journey. 👍🦘🐎
Saber's post castration testosterone levels have decreased over the past several weeks. This along with the training is causing him to settle down and listen. He's a smart horse and should progress nicely from this point on.
Took a rescue dog a year to finaly pay attenion to me and listen.
That's a good whip...easy to snap.
He is far less anxious about his surroundings, and it seems to be easier to bring his attention back to you. Having Robert work with Sabre helped him understand that you are not the only human he can trust. I didn't see any cows nearby, so I can't say how far that issue is from being totally resolved. Of course, just because I didn't see any cows doesn't mean they were not there. However, I did see the video where he found that he could push them around without any counter-attack. The more new experiences he has with no harm done, the more solid he will become.
Have you considered getting a couple of goats? This gives your trainees another "monster" to face, helps with weed control, and I can guarantee that if you have any human students that don't understand the importance of putting ALL of their tack up, a goat will fix that in short order. This is called putting anything of value "above the goat line", as they are amazingly adept at standing on their hind feet and reaching things you would not think possible. Be aware that there is some evidence that goats can read at least well enough to discern which pieces of paper are important. Coggins papers seem to be a very select delicacy. They can also detect the most expensive set of reins or bridle in the barn.
But, back to Sabre, he is a very smart boy and I have enjoyed watching you educate him more than any other horse I have watched you work with. I posted on another channel, something to the effect that no one wants a stupid horse. Some lady replied that she had talked to a lot of old timers, and they had said that horses today were too smart and sensitive, which caused them to be unpredictable and harder to train, I didn't bother to reply as you can't fix stupid. Arabs are not my choice of breed but watching you with Sabre has given me a much greater appreciation of his breed and why the Arab folk are so dedicated to them.
❤ My favorite Arabian ❤
he's much better focussed on you; calmer and looking for the answers.
He’s paying attention to you and not the environment around him
Rode same horse for 29 years ,so it's hard to put up with young untrained horse. You have patience.
All horses start out young and untrained.
Nice. My 'crazy Arabian' is not at all bothered by gunfire. ❤
Tim you da man!! ❤😂😂
He’s calmer, not as reactive.
He has more than just air in his head.
He is trusting you that he will come to no harm, thats why he so wants to do what you ask…this is the change i see from last time….i think bob also had something to do with it too! Lol
Nice work
Thank you ❤
I was using trace minerals to help melt my girl's frozen paddocks.
Last year was worse then this year but at least now i know by watching you that i was doing the right thing ❤
He looks more trusting in you.
He carries his head a lot lower as he seems more relaxed.
He’s focusing better and not as reactive 👍🏻
