If you take the caps off the strawberries before steam juicing then you can take the remaining fruit and make jam with it, and it's great. But the leaves have to be gone first. And don't leave that hose lying on the counter, hook it over one of the pot handles!
I enjoyed your video Barbara. Very informative. I bought a Steam Juicer about a month ago, and have used it to extract Asian Pears and Crabapples. Both juices turned out pretty weak, not flavorful. I've been searching for answers online today. What do you think could cause weak, diluted juice? I quartered the pears but left the crabapples whole. Any thoughts you have would be very much appreciated. :-)
Actually I think not much condenses because the lid (at least for Mehu-Liisa steam juicer) is deliberately not a tight seal. So steam escapes while it is working. My apple juice practically jells by itself at room temperature. I'm still learning how to use this though.
The hose and clamps need to be replaced occasionally. If you know anyone that uses a Foley catheter, you can use the clamp off the tube. The tubing should be good grade.

This seems like magic.
It looks pretty good. I just ordered the steamed juicer.
Yet Again, Another Amazing Informative Video ! ~ Thanks Barb !! :)

I just wonder how much of steam condenses? So how much extra water is added to the product?

You mentioned pectin. Do you add that to juice? I realize you add to jelly.
I'd like to see how the hose seals so the juice doesn't leak into the water pan, I bought one just like this in a barn sale but it's leaking
The clamp on mine leaks as well right from the get go.
