Dvorak´s most famous composition for piano trio is a collection of six "Dumky", ballade-style tales with sections quickly alternating between temperamental dances and intimate, almost fairytale moments, and originally of Ukrainian origin. In this music, Dvorak´s love for his own countries´ folk music comes to full shine, comparable in phantasy and characterization to his Slavonic Dances.

For years, I have loved this piece, and listened to many different performances. For me subjectively, this one is head and shoulders above the rest. Despite my familiarity with it, the ATOS Trio has created new insights for me, providing new gems of emotion and meaning. I am simply amazed! Thank you for posting this!

Hoppe's crystalline attack and delicate touch transport me to another world, followed by Heinemeyer's devastatingly soulful voices echoing through the air. Unbelievably moving. Also truly appreciate the brisker pace than most other performers play it - contributes to the lightness and vitality needed to move dancers

"Dumky" (plural de dumka), describe el estilo de sus seis movimientos, siendo una dumka una canción popular eslava
sehr schön gespielt, Annette und Stefan. Saubere Intonation bei den schweren Harmonien und sehr temperamentvoll. Annette, beim tollen Lento, weshalb nicht ab Takt 16 sul G ? Das wäre unheimlich ergreifend.
