I definitely relate to the point about school. For as long as I can remember late summer has been the time of absolute dread and sadness because I knew school will be starting in what felt like days. Now that I'm going to be a senior this year and it's likely to be all online, I'm glad that I won't have to feel that way ever again, but I'm also now scared that I'll feel sad and nostalgic. Great video.
The good news is that the sadness and nostalgia doesn't seem to last very long as long as you give yourself time to experience it. It's my last year of college and this year has been perfect for transitioning out of that August feeling because it doesn't feel like school is happening. I'm with you though, it will be interesting to see how it feels in the future
This sounds interesting. In Japan we call it "the May blues" which is right after holidays and right before rainy season. Our school starts in April and it is said people gradually getting stressed about adapting themselves to new school, new classmates or new job then they become depressed in May. yea everybody hates school
Yeah, once that Bermuda High builds in, now it's a combination high heat and high humidity. It feels really enervating. Of course, living in the South, August starts about June 25 and goes on through about September 15. It's very similar to the cabin fever in winter I used to feel when I lived in Ohio. At least down here I don't have to worry about that second dread....when is the snow going to start? :-)
Oof I'm happy with some 65 degree September Ohio weather myself! I'll probably be saying the opposite when December hits though. I can't even take a Christmas vacation to Florida this year. Forced to endure the snow I guess 😎
@@theVHSvlog I'll see a 65 degree high maybe the week before Halloween. It was 102 here today. Still, one of the reasons I left Cleveland was I just couldn't take the snow and cold. Even worse, I couldn't stand the constant cloudy weather. I think Cleveland is the fourth cloudiest city in the country. Maybe all this bat flu nonsense will be cleared up before the snow flies up there.
Yup. When August comes...you can feel fall coming...then...winter.

Somebody had a post on Facebook the other day that said “August is like the Sunday of Summer.” I thought that was funny.
Great video!!🔥
So true! Hope you're staying cool in NM 😎
theVHSvlog there have been some real hot days, but it’s been cooling off quite a bit. They say it’s a dry heat, like an OVEN! 😂😂
Awesome. I like these informative pieces. I try to find a crazy project to do in August/ September.
Thanks Joey! Yeah there's just not a lot happening this year especially. I'm with you though, gonna try to do one last cool project for the summer
Thank you for this
Thank you!
