    Bro!
    I was fff a few months ago and you and Ceech were working. He showed me these and gave you 100% credit for the s.o.s.
    So pumped to see you on the channel.

    I tie this one from 1.5 mm up to 4.6 mm tungsten beads in three colors. Main colors are a black one, olive and a cream / brown color. It’s one of my top go to nymphs. Thanks a bunch!!!!

    Send me on an S.O.S.! Great lookin' tie......reminiscent of a Skinny Nelson with its own flair. Thanks for the tying techniques and instructions, killer.

    Just tied 2 on a jig hook. Went to Stave river, mission, British Columbia, Canada.
    Caught 8 Pike minnows almost right away! Switched to a different bug just to see if the fish were biting at anything, and caught nothing! Your pattern worked for me today!

    I’ve been using the sos for a few years. A go to fly for sure. Purple has been very good.

    Great fly! Do you use the red wing case on olive and brown patterns?

      I was looking at the orvis catalog before coming here. All 3 variations have the red wingcase.

    I have white buff ringneck rooster tails. Pen birds mixed in that got put in the boxes for release. It’s cream colored and goes into a med tan.

    What can I use for the tail if no black Pheasant available

  • @troystiles1033
    @troystiles1033 Рік тому

    The best universal nymph is the pheasant tail !!!!! Maybe a uncased Caddis larve

      This fly has proven to catch fish 37% better than a pheasant tail.
