Seeing Megumi as the 10th seat is weirdly the most proud I’ve been for an anime character. She’s definitely my favourite.

Despite how shady he is he's the best negotiator out of everyone so his skills in handling admin related stuff is a great asset for the Elite Ten. Even without using cheap tactics he's still one of the best chefs in the show.

Personally I thought she should have been higher, definitely higher than Alice who for me didn’t really do anything special in the series at all.
She just used a bunch of scientific methods to make weird food and STILL lost in her cooking battles, (unless she was in a team) 🙄
@@Camilla550 she score 95 in the competition tho that means her food is on par with hayama yukihira and kurokiba and she has served 380 serving in there hell camp well to be fair she only sereved 380 because she ran out of ingredients so she could have served more she is a better cook than megumi from start till the end

@@onetired2594 alice has beaten ryou and akira plenty of times in a shokugeki, something which megumi has never done. ryou tied against soma and akira beat soma. sure that was before but if we’re only speculating, alice should still be superior to megumi. alice was already just so much better than megumi at first and im positive she got better. megumi has improved a lot but i still can’t see her winning against the top chefs in her generation unless it actually happens. so yea you’re right, we may never know but most likely alice is stronger.

Takumi is 7 while Hayama who had not contributed rebel fight is 4. Pay to win.
but hayama was the winner of the tournament (forgot the tournament name) and although it was way before and he didn't contributed in fight but he can defeat takumi in shokugeki and his tournament feat became one major factor.
But if hayama join the Rebel ,Rebel team GONNA win eassely lol
4 seats were left open after the team competition ended. I'm assuming everyone was allowed to compete for the 4 open seats and then once they had their 10, they competed for rankings.

Technically, Nene and Eizan are the only sophomores who were on the side of the Central. It makes sense that they finish at the end because they were on the side of the group that lost (many seats were reconfigured depending on each other's losses). I don't think she is stronger than Isshiki but it might be a seat or two up ahead if she had been on the side of the winning group.

@@m.o.l.a6812 Yeah, but at her skill level, she should have been able to beat as high as Kuga, or at least Ryou or Alice (in the scenes during the promotion exams, when the rebels are being beaten by the Elite 10, all 4 third years are shown beating various rebels. Ryou and Alice are not amongst them, meaning they were beaten by either Nene, Julio, Eizan, or whoever that last girl was.).

@@colin-kun3611 Yeah I read the manga after last season and stopped after I finished what was the current chapter at the time (a little after this) then decided to see how the manga ended since I heard people hated it and it really felt hollow. A lot of manga authors seem to have trouble closing the book on their stories and only a few seem to know how to give their books actual endings

i would have honestly be okay if the anime ended from there, i just feel like it would have been a good ending to see the new elite 10, however i'm halfway through the last season and it aint too bad. :)

Yes, Yukihira did the most effort in the Team Shokugeki (preparation and battle) but i think it is obvious that Isshiki is waaay better than him.

The seat ranks aren't a reflection of skill. Joitichio was possibly the best chef of his class but he never got 1st seat, and isshiki was previously 7th despite being, at the very least, 2nd or 3rd seat worthy
Isshiki was suppose to be the 1st seat if Souma wasn't the strongest, he is the highest ranking chef in his batch so basically he is the 1st seat of his batch

Also Soma never defeats his father which was literally one of the main goals of Soma's journey, the manga ends in a pretty disappointing. Which makes me really dissatisfied as a fan of the series 😢

- First Soma became like his father who became a famous travelling chef
-Erina has an older brother (Asahi ) which will first court Erina so it is like incest but later they find out and many shit happens.
- The Bookmaster is Erina's Mom
- The Last Arc turned into something like Kuroko where the Antagonist has a Power and Soma defeated him because he is the main character.
- Soma never really won a fight against Erina
- SomaXErina was never confirmed but there is still a chance maybe a 5 or 10 yrs. Time skip
- The Look of Soma's Mother is just a girl version of Soma and after the haircut she looks like hisako.
- Nothing really stands out :(
- No ships were sailed and it was pretty dissapointing

Lmao all the hate on Eizan in this comment section. Do remember that both the manga and anime stated that Eizan mainly focused on consulting rather than his talent to cook, but despite that, he is said to be much more skilled than some - if not, majority of the ten when it comes to cooking. It is also speculated that he's the only who had gotten into the ten unanimously.
Isshiki has the most respect among the elite more than Soma and the others

I’m probably gonna get a lot of hate for this but it really annoyed me that Alice got the 6th seat. As a character I think she’s hilarious and fun but as a chef I think she’s pretty overrated. We never saw her win a Shokugeki, she always lost her cooking battles unless she was in a team and when watching other Shokugekis other chefs had to point out to her what made dishes special e.g a certain spice used, or cooking technique, etc. She never worked it out on her own.
Megumi grew so much as character with her confidence and her cooking, she deserved to be higher than Alice in my opinion!
But then again this is an anime, the big boobed, weird hair and eye colour girls always do better 🙄

Yes you are right Megumi's growth, but as you can see from the epilogue, Megumi still had to find her speciality. Whilst Alice already has experience outside of Totsuki and had her own speciality. So she definitely deserves that seat. I think though the biggest contradiction I have is Kinokuni, yes we didn't see a lot of her battles, but for someone to have gone toe to toe with Isshiki her whole life she cannot be worse that Takumi and Alice especially that shes a year older.

I agree, I feel that the hard work and effort of Megumi and Takumi went straight to the garbage, being in the elite 10 is something really good, but I felt that the current seats are quite messy, totally different from when I first saw the former elite 10. Souma, Kurokiba, Hayama and the second year seats of the elite ten make sense that they are in those positions. Alice is a good specialized chef but has barely demonstrated her skills since she is sixth, in the end the Nakiri family was always superior. The author always introduces Megumi + hard work, but in the end it is never enough, I think she would have been happier with her outside the elite 10.

This is the exact moment where I stopped in the manga(with the exception of reading a few tidbits of the next arc but dropped), mainly because I really don’t think you can have a better conclusion than this; yes there’s definitely some questions if Soma ever triumphed over his fathers or if Erina finally admitted his dish was delicious, but I left that for my own mind’s imagination.

hey it did get complicated but i guess there was a little progress between erina and souma tho...and megumi showed her strength in cooking in the first chap after this episode so all in all the manga is actually good. It went in depth with the other characters life(?)

The last arc in the manga is the worst of them all. The plot is dull and uninteresting, most of the new characters don't have depth and development like the previous ones. But there are still other minor things that I like but I won't spoil them. The ending by itself is simple and predictable. Overall it's not a really dumpster fire, but also not worth reading ahead from here.

Let me just say, while I mostly agree with who makes up the Elite 10 now (all except Eizan), I just can't agree with the rankings after the top 3. My boy Takumi should have at least been 4th seat, if not 3rd.

Oh there's no doubt that Hayama could've beaten some of the elite 10, but Takumi had a bunch of training, and is so much on par with Souma that he's beaten him multiple times in shokugekis. He's already proven himself to be one of the best easily in Tootsuki, even over Hayama. Hayama is definitely good, but he hasn't been shown to improve as much as some of the others ever since he lost to Souma. My main point is Takumi put in the work to earn it. It's possible Hayama beat him to take his spot, but i doubt the same happened with Kurokiba and Alice.
