Hello there Steph and thank you so much! I was actually watching you last night, doing all your final clearing up outside. Another gardening year over - I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a rest!! Well done on how wonderfully well your channel is doing, I know how much work it takes ❤️ Hope you have a really happy Sunday. I’m going to try and get my bulbs planted today 💚🩷❤️

I really enjoyed this video. I love that you had color all throughout the seasons. I like that you're not afraid to change up your hardscape and accessories. Even with the loss of the neighbor's tree, you just adapt and keep on rolling. Truly love your channel.
Hello there Karen and thank you so much for joining me in my garden ❤️💚 and for your lovely comments. Happy weekend (it’s pouring with rain here today!) ☺️
Good morning friend . Is unbelievably how nature works , from snow to a beautiful garden , all the colors each month that’s beautiful. I love the hummingbirds on the wall , my favorite colors 😊.

Hello there Lorraine and I agree, the tulips were so cheerful, makes me realise how worthwhile it is to plant Spring bulbs. Still haven’t planted my tulip bulbs for next year, hopefully this weekend. Hope you have a great week 🩷💚❤️

I just finished watching Dig, Plant, Grow, Repeat, Janey's series which is now at zone 8. I was so very happy to see you there. You did such a great job. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for showing your beautiful garden Janette in it's seasonal evolution. There is always something to look forward to in the next month. Makes me want to do a video of my garden. Here's to winter! Bonny
Yes Bonny, please film your garden too! It’s so nice to see because we forget how things looked when we go outside every day. Hope you’re doing ok ❤️💚🩷
Isn't it amazing from month to month the changes. Everything is always just beautiful. I am looking forward to what is coming for the New Year. Have a nice day Janette ❤
What a fun garden tour through the year! I love your garden rooms and the woodland courtyard - I especially love your shade corner as well. Your hardscaping brings it all together! Thanks for filming a monthly tour - it's so exciting to see how a garden changes every month in one video♥
Hello Snappy and thank you so much, we forget how things are changing when we pop outside every day. Thanks for your lovely comments too. So glad you enjoyed this and have a wonderful week 🩷❤️💚
What a brilliant idea to film your garden on the last day of each month. I’ve been wracking my brain for just the right word to describe your lovely garden and it just came to me: JEWELBOX! You have so much vibrant color, your plants look like rare and precious jewels. I must say that I tend to gravitate toward the pinks, purples and blues but your garden is opening my eyes to the brighter colors and I love it.
A great year in the garden Janette, so much colour and texture. Quite a few changes with your old garden furniture gone, your new green planter to replace old water feature. Your new water feature. New window box. Let alone all the new planting of carnival corner and around the garden. When you see it month on month you realise how much it takes to keep your garden looking so good. 🍂🍁🪴🌷🧑🌾 👏
Good morning Penny and it has been a good garden year with lots of new things done. Thanks so much for always being here with me too. Are you managing to get all your garden tidying done? I haven’t even started mine really! Hope you have a really lovely day my friend ❤️💚🩷
How lovely to see the garden develop and change through the seasons Janette. All the different colours! Thank you for the time put into making all those videos for a tour with a difference 😊
Oh Cindy that’s so nice of you, I think for me April is nice with all the tulips especially after months of emptiness, that makes me realise how important it is to plant more bulbs (even though I hate doing it 😆). Hope you’re having a great week 💚🩷
I really enjoyed seeing your garden month by month. The Tulips and Alliums were spectacular. I'm so glad that I've planted lots of these this year and hope that they give me as good a show as yours. Isn't it amazing how our gardens change through the year?
Hi Wendy, it was so great for me to see all the changes too, you’re right - we don’t realise when we look every day. I still have to plant my tulips and alliums which is not a job I enjoy, so I’m glad you have yours in already 😊 have a fab day xx
Wonderful idea Jeanette 😊. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Was reminded of the vista that opened up when you removed the garden furniture- AMAZING!! 😮. The blend of colours is superb! Love the Woodland courtyard - So pleased you’re having some time off.
Good morning Philomena and thank you for your very lovely comments. It was really nice for me to look at all the changes too which we don’t notice on a daily basis. Wishing you a wonderful week 🩷💚
Love this video perhaps I will follow your inspiration. To think daffs booming in February makes us realize winter is not as long and dark as one thinks. Remember how active you were in planting and moving around . I think we gardeners just have to have our hands in the dirt no matter what the season or temps lol. The border of your June garden with the blue annual so soft and lovely worth being a slave to that plant ha ha. The large green specimen pot just perfect. You must love the colors that continued throughout the season with such great leaf structures and colors. You’re woodland courtyard such a wonderful work space and so peaceful. I need a pretty workspace im contemplating this winter. It’s always important to take time away from the garden to relax.
Hi Teresa and thank you, I think you should film every month too, we just don’t realise how things change as we are popping outside all the time. Makes me realise how worthwhile bulb planting is too this time of year so will inspire me to make sure u do that very soon. I love my green pot too, thank you. And Woodland Courtyard too. I’m looking forward to a rest soon though!! Hope you’re having a great week, say hi to Reg ❤️💚🩷

Great idea Janette, so refreshing to see the monthly changes, and in all the gloom and doom of November, the colours in your garden were so vibrant. I have been re drying my dahlia tubers, we've had so much rain that they had got drenched, I've got them all over my dining room 😅 and my tools, including lawn mower, hedge cutter and strimmer, in the spare bedroom 😂. Your video inspired me to go through my Instagram photos and videos of this years blooms. It's funny how looking back I wish I had taken more of it in 😅. We'll just have to wait in hope. Have a lovely week 🙋♀️
😆😆 dahlias all over the dining room, the things we do 😆 I think next year you’ll have to take more photos, at least every month, it’s amazing how much our gardens change and we do forget. 💚
Hi Janette, I'm so sorry, running extra late. It's been such a crazy week. What an interesting video! I'm not sure which month was my favourite. So many lovely ones. You must be so happy with all the changes and improvements you've made this year. Gardens here don't have the same extreme seasonal differences. Different flowers from Winter to Summer but our gardens don't go to sleep over the Winter months. Thanks for sharing your wonderful garden every week. Keeps on giving me such encouragement. Hope you're having a great week. Much love, Bron xx
Hi there Bron and I know what you mean, I’m having a crazy busy few weeks with working late etc. I didn’t realise your gardens don’t really wind down at all, and that you don’t have such definite seasonal changes. That’s very interesting. Anyway, hope you’re having a good Spring, we are definitely winding down now over here in our gardens, still have my bulbs to plant and lots of cutting back and leaf clearing etc. but it’s raining quite a lot right now. Anyway, always lovely to chat with you. Have a happy Friday and weekend 🩷❤️💚
Here from Janey as well. I was in the Zone 9 group 😊. Looking forward to seeing more of your garden. So many beautiful plants, arrangement and different art in the garden, love it! Best of luck on the upcoming garden season.
Hello Farrah, I watched Janey’s zone 9 video last night and you have a really gorgeous garden, it’s so lovely to have a new gardening friend!! It’s been so much fun watching all these beautiful new gardens. Thanks for visiting mine and wishing you a fabulous week ❤️🩷💚
I thoroughly enjoyed your garden year in review, Jeanette! The colors and textures throughout the year were beautiful! You’ve inspired me to film my own small garden. There’s so much that we forget, how nice to have a video record of the entire year. I love your videos, your voice is so pleasant and restful. Look forward to the next one.
Thank you so much Margie, you should film your garden every month! We do forget, plus we can see what we might want to move this time of year! Have a great week ❤️💚
Awwh Janette! I loved watching a year in the garden. It's amazing how much the garden changes from month to month. May is my favorite in your garden with all the bulbs and heauchera, just beautiful. Lottie is such a sweetie. Thank you for taking us along. Have a wonderful day.
Oh thank you Adra, I think it’s May for me as well. I think you should film your garden once a month too, it’s so nice seeing all the changes because we so easily forget when we see it every day. Lotte is adorable, she’s always out gardening with me 😊🩷
Hello Betty and thank you so much for joining me all the way from North Carolina ❤️ wasn’t it lovely of Janey to show our gardens? And yours is beautiful! So many gorgeous trees and I love the vision you have for the future but I’m sorry you struggle with beetles fungus and deer! That’s challenging. Gorgeous pool too. I’ll head over to your channel too. Lovely to have a new gardening friend 🩷💚❤️
Oh yes Lil you must take monthly videos or photos as you’ll be amazed at the changes. We don’t realise when we’re popping outside every day. Have a fabulous week ❤️💚🩷
What a great idea! Taking pics on the last day of every month. Re plants being dug up, I use stones and rocks as soon as I plant something. It keeps the critters from diggin them up. I have chipmunks that do that. Just try it.
What a great idea, Janette! It’s a great reminder for the days when you need a little reminder of just how beautiful your garden is. I think I will do this, too. I hope you’re doing well!🥰💖💗
Hi there Jeanette I have called you Janette please correct me' The garden looked good all year Shame the Hebe died. The tulips looked good I have never had luck growing them. . Keep up the good work I still love your blue ceramic pumpkin I have just noticed the copper coloured snail
Hello there Olga and it is Janette, you were right, but no-one spells it right 😆 I don’t mind. The hebe was lovely in the summer, so pretty, but the snow killed it. I have had the blue pumpkin and the snail for more than 20 years, I know because I brought them with me from my last house. Thanks so much for watching - have a lovely week ❤️💚
I love this! Your videos give me so many ideas for my own garden Janette, and in these depressing December days, this video reminds me that Spring is just around the corner (well, nearly!) 😊
Hi Janette Such a joyful reminder of your beautiful garden. It shows too how the plants look their best and then are overtaken by more fantastic colour. That is a true garden to me. A succession of colour. Must just say that the crocosmia looks like an orange variety ( not emily mackenzie😂) from a distance. The lucifer variety is more on the red side. Sometimes we are sold these plants under those names and come to believe them. Just out of interest why are you removing the crocosmia? It did look gorgeous by the cat. Yes, give yourself a break. I haven't needed to do much in my garden💕🌷💕🌷
Hello there Sharon, good morning to you! You are so right that it’s not Lucifer, I realised that after I’d declared it to be Lucifer which is red, so I call it that incorrectly out of habit. And also I didn’t mean I’m pulling it out, just that I’ll cut it back to the ground now it’s all faded and flopping. It was fun seeing all the changes, as we don’t notice when we pop outside every day do we? Also good to see what might need moving somewhere else. Thanks for always watching my friend 🩷💚
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener Always a pleasure. You have the same attitude to gardening that i do. Will just add there are smaller varieties of crocosmia which i have searched for for years. I've seen some in a local garden and keep hoping the gardener will divide and sell some. I haven't the nerve to ask.🎉🎉💕
Hi, I love your garden! I found you from Janey!! I’m an 8zone gardener in South Carolina. I’ve alway been a bit of an Anglophile, Thanks to Jane Austin and Henry James. I can’t wait to follow you on your gardening journey! Leslie
Hello Leslie, thank you so much! I hadn’t realised Janey has actually shown my garden on her channel - I must go and watch straight away 🎉🎉🎉 thank you for visiting my garden and it’s so lovely to have a new gardening friend ❤️💚🩷
A great compilation. It was very interesting getting to see your garden before I subscribed to you late this spring. I could see some of the things you had referenced in my early watching, so I now understand those bits much better. I’m looking forward to seeing how your garden develops going forward.
Hello Mark and so pleased you liked that. I hadn’t realised you’ve only been watching since Spring. Isn’t it amazing how a garden changes throughout the year? Hope you’re having a great week. I did put the ferns you suggested into my coldframe and I will be planting up my ferns soon I’m hoping, probably just into larger pots for the time being. I will put them in the ground eventually but not until they are a bit bigger, just because I don’t want my dogs to trample all over them because they do do that at times ❤️💚
Hello Janette! 👋 Love this video! 🥰. Love seeing the changes over time. Enjoy your weekend off. We spent the last 2 weekends picking up leaves and buttoning up the garden. Some things like my salvia and guara I’m not cutting back yet. But it’s been so so cold here in western Massachusetts. We have some snow showers in the forecast. I’m not ready for snow but my garden should be ready. I still have some spring bulbs to plant. Hopefully I can get to it. Take care! ❤️
Hello Lauren and I’m so glad you liked that video, I think it’s so nice to remind ourselves what things looked like earlier on, and also to see what might need moving as it’s a great time to do that. Well done to you for getting your garden tidied up. Hope you’re having a great week 💚🩷
Hi Janette, I really enjoyed this video. It was so nice to see your garden's transformation from month to month. I absolutely love daffodils, I finally figured out what cultivar of brunnera I have. It's " looking glass ". From one $2 rescue plant ( original price $18 ) I now have 8 full sized plants. I just got some more daffodil bulbs on clearance ( 1/2 price) . Gardening is pretty much done here, now it's just coming up with a plan for springtime. I do want to get a few flamingos. I saw them on eBay a few years ago in assorted colors. I checked the other day and only found pink ones.
Hello there and I’m so glad you liked the video. And oh wow well done with your Brunneras! I think I still try dividing my 3 big clumps in shade corner next Spring. We spray painted our flamingoes actually so maybe you could try that if you want different colours. Still need to plant my bulbs so that’s on my list. Hope you’re having a great week 💚🩷
Thank you for filming your gardening year, as I found it to be very interesting. I admire your achievement of continuous colour and interest through the year. I am in B.C., Canada and struggle in my own garden with surrounding trees/roots, so love seeing similar plants that I try keep alive doing so well for you. I'm still learning "right plant, right place". haha Your garden is lovely! Enjoy your break and thanks again for sharing.
Thank you so much for joining me and I’m guessing you have a long winter over in Canada? 🇨🇦 it is definitely right plant right place isn’t it? Hope you have a wonderful week 💚💚🩷
I am on the West Coast (suburb of Vancouver) so we usually have mild wet winters, but it's been a bit up and down temperature-wise over the last few years. My goal is to protect some new roses which I usually wouldn't be bothered about, but I don't want to lose them, so I hope to get out there this month to protect them. For me it's all about finding the time. And we're retired!! lol @@TheEnthusiasticGardener
Oh yes, everyone I know who has retired says they just don’t know how they found the time before to go to work as they’re now so busy 😆 sounds like you’re having a very happy time now though. Have a wonderful Sunday 💚❤️
I woke up to a disaster this morning - the high winds blew a trellis over which landed on a newly potted patio apple tree 🙄 it's snapped it in half 😮 I'm going to try and tape it up and see if it'll survive 🤞 loved seeing your garden throughout the year it reminds us that spring will be back and everything looking hidden and bedraggled now will all come back again next year 🌿🌱🪻🌷
I'm sorry to hear your apple tree snapped in half. I bought two dormant columnar apple trees in the spring, one came with the leader shredded, almost snapped off, I used painters tape and wrapped it tightly, within a month I checked it and was still not together so I rewrapped it, did this all summer and now in November it finally healed over. I just kept removing the tape and retaping so that it didnt strangle the leader. I purposely used painters tape because it's not too sticky and wanted to avoid tearing bark off when removing the tape. Hope this helps.
@@adrabruzzese7610 thank you - yes I was worried that tape might strangle it I'll try the masking tape 👍 I've just clamped 2 pegs on it as its a very young plant with skinny stem 🤞🤞🤞 I'm putting it right in front of my patio door so I can keep an eye on it x the things we do for our plants 🙄🥰🌱🌿
@@helenagreenwood2305 you're welcome. I bet it may take longer because your tree will probably going dormant soon but I'm sure it will heal for you. And yours sounds like a clean break which is better than mine. My tree is also young, I think the younger the better for these types of things. Good luck!
Hi Jeanette, I really enjoyed your garden tour clips from every month very interesting to see how the garden changed month on month. My favourite was May, colourful and warm with the prospect of more months to come. So thank you it's been, each other I remember you various changes and tasks. Do you have agapanthus ? Didn't spot it? It's one of my fav plants , it loves being in a pot. Well bulbs yet to planted in my pots, in fact I bought some more half price ones from Sainsbury's! Could not resist! Enjoy your weekend off, maybe more keyboard practice? Relax you deserve it. Still no bin collection here !!! I'm Steve the enthusiastic gardener Jenette eye up north.
Hello Steve!! I think April and May are my favourite months with all the bulbs and colour. I do have agapanthus but I think it must have bloomed and then stopped all before the end of that month and I missed capturing it on film 😆 but it was from Mum’s garden and she divided it and gave me some. I still need to plant my bulbs, I am tempted to buy some more too, I know I’ll regret that though when I go to plant them all, but oh so worth it in the Spring. Must admit I haven’t practiced piano as much as I’d have liked to this week - been so busy and having to stay late at work. Still no bins?! 🗑️ you take care ❤️🩷💚
Hello Janette my friend 👋, I love the video montage of your garden through the past year🥳. All,of your hard work( and Richard) has really paid off, everything looks amazing🤩. For us, the mowing is still a thing lol and I need to cut back my perennials, but after that everything is going to sleep for the winter, we all need a respite😝. Next comes the Christmas lights😂. Stay warm my friend 🫶
Hello my lovely friend, glad you liked the video, we forget all the changes don’t we? I’m so looking forward to a rest from gardening I must confess, still need to plant my bulbs and cut things back and sweep leaves when they decide to fall, but you’re right, we do need a respite ❤️💚 have a happy week 🩷😎
Lovely day in the life of a years worth if garden, thamks taking the time to put this one together. I'll probably find things that will be thankful to get more sun 😊 Hope you guys have a wonderful rest of the week. I'm still waiting for rain.
Hello Wende, mine’s not Lucifer I keep saying that, Lucifer is red, I say it out of habit 😆 also it was misleading when I said I was going to dig it up, I meant cut it back to the ground. I did divide it all this spring when I moved it from the other side of my garden. Hope you’re doing well, thanks for joining me ❤️💚🩷

I love your brunera it looks very whimsical love it. my name is Yazmin I order my brunera but it wont be in my garden until February
Hi there Yasmin and thank you so much for joining me in my garden and for your lovely comments. As you could see from my video, February will be the perfect time to plant your brunnera, and you’ll be able to divide them too in following years. I really do think they are my favourite perennial and they look good from February onwards, mine are still great even at the end of November, then they’ll die back with a frost. Hope you have a wonderful week 💚🩷❤️ oh and don’t forget they like to be in shade.
Hi Janette, Alway enjoy your video s. You never disapppoint. I loved looking back over the past year and seeing some old friends, such as purple head 💜. After seeing your Nandina last month, I ordered one from Crocus nursery as they they were half price and I thought your one looked so fantastic. So good the have late colour. I was trying to work out which month was the best for your garden, but, so hard to judge, as each month has its own highlights 😊😊😊.
Hello Pauline and at least we have memories of purple head to look back on 😆 I still don’t like it in the front garden I must admit, I think I still look out for a replacement next year. So pleased you found NANDINA! Hope you’re having a great week ❤️🩷

Hello there, I was so excited Janey featured my garden!! I watch her every day ❤️ she’s very inspirational. Thank you for visiting my garden 🩷💚
I really enjoyed your year with a cuppa tea. Thank you for taking the time. Your garden is beautiful. Wishing you a happy winter.
Hello ladyjrider and thank you so much for your lovely comments and for joining me in my garden today ❤️💚🩷
Hi Judy and thanks so much for joining me and it’s amazing how a garden changes so much isn’t it? Hope you’re doing well over there ❤️💚🩷
What a fun garden tour through the year!
Oh JC what lovely comments and I love your “jewelbox” title, that’s so dear to me, thank you 🙏 and I hope your day is wonderful 🩷💚❤️
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener
Feel free to use that title any time!
Love this video
Amazing how our gardens change xx
Oh yes, we do quickly forget don’t we? 🩵💜

How lovely to see the garden develop and change through the seasons Janette. All the different colours! Thank you for the time put into making all those videos for a tour with a difference 😊
Aww how nice of you, and thank you for coming along with me Pamela 🩷❤️🩷
Hi! I tried to pick a favorite month but I couldn't. Each month had its own special beauty. Hope you have a wonderful week!
I would love to see you make a wood sign that says Woodland Garden or Woodland Courtyard to put somewhere at the entrance to the area.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE that idea! Thank you so much for thinking of it. I will get one made 😊 I’m onto it 😆 have a great week 🩷💚
Wonderful idea Jeanette 😊. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Was reminded of the vista that opened up when you removed the garden furniture- AMAZING!! 😮. The blend of colours is superb! Love the Woodland courtyard - So pleased you’re having some time off.
Didn’t quite finish my comment!! Thanks again for all your videos. So inspirational Enjoyed each one. Take care & God bless all. Philomena 🙏🏼❤️
Good morning Philomena and thank you for your very lovely comments. It was really nice for me to look at all the changes too which we don’t notice on a daily basis. Wishing you a wonderful week 🩷💚

Hi there Tracy and thank you so much. I love my little trees too. Hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for joining me in my garden 🩷💚❤️
Great video! I really enjoyed the monthly recap!
Hello and thank you so much for joining me today 😊 hope you’re having a great week ❤️💚

Hi Janette, lovely video. Nice to see the changes. You’ve inspired me to start videoing or taking photos of my own garden. Have a nice week 🌸
Oh Sunita that is an excellent idea! I must try that. Thanks so much for watching and have a lovely week ❤️💚🩷

Oh I’m so pleased if I’ve given you ideas 😊 that makes it all worthwhile. Spring is only just a matter of weeks away really 🌷 😄💚
great video!
Hello there Strayteez and thank you for joining me in my garden today! 🩷💚❤️
Hi Janette
Such a joyful reminder of your beautiful garden.
Well I dare you to ask 😆 I’m sure they’ll say yes 💚🩷

Good luck!
Hello Helen and I’m sorry to hear about your tree too, but great advice from Adra so I hope it works for you too! Wishing you both a fabulous week 💚🩷
Hope you guys have a wonderful rest of the week.
