Your state reps can get you in as well, however we really didn’t have the time this trip! We were only there one full day and meeting with family. Next time though ;)
Speaking of dogs...why is the Aruba government so dismissive of the strays the island. As much as I really l like that island, the strays, the abuse/neglect by owners is just so so sad. Enjoy Miami, we'll be there in September for a cruise, that happens to be stopping at Aruba. Need anything, I'll bring it back to Miami with us. 😁 Congrats on the move and I'm sure you'll love Miami!
Thank Rita! I am sick over the latest animal abuse case in Aruba. The government has yet to step up and arrest the man that did it even though it’s very well known who it was. This is actually one of the reasons I couldnt Stand living there anymore, I just didn’t come out publicly and say it. constantly watching the poor animals walking around on a daily basis hungry, unvetted and hurt is too much for me to take everyday. I try to help where I can and continue to, but need to protect my own mental well being as well 😞
Yes, the one that was found tied and with babies, I just don't understand. I've seen the FB page of the "owner" and I hope he suffers financially for this. I don't know how the rescues do it. I'm not at all surprised that the animal issue was a driving force behind you leaving. We'll do what we can in September to do off supplies to Zoey and the haven as well as Sgt Pepper's. If you know of others where we could quickly swing by while there, let me know.
He has also robbed a lot of people, most recently wedding couples, out of tens of thousands of dollars. He deserves every bad thing that comes his way. Just a terrible person all around!
