NB the source recording especially after 03.20 is damaged, nevertheless the unique vocal and overall artistic presence of Sándor Svéd, his full timbre, intonation, brilliant articulation is perfectly apparent.
1935 marked the 10th anniversary of the Hungarian Radio. At this occasion, a 70-minute comedy film was produced, directed by László Vajda, with participation of famous artists of the radio studios, actors, along with musicians such as legendary violinist Jenő Hubay, opera stars Sándor Svéd and Mária Németh, pianist György Kósa, conductor Lajos Rajter and music director of the Hungarian Radio, Ernő Dohnányi.
"Halló, Budapest" was premiered on October 15, 1935.
The film material survived 2nd World War times in fragments.
