I have been given double talk and excuses about my Funko pop yourself feature. The figures had marks on their faces and NO accessories were attached. I have other Funko figures that have ALL extras i.e. hats, signs and so on permanently affixed. I have repeatedly requested refunds for these abominations that were shoddy workmanship at the best. I have collected Funkos for some time and realize how little consumers of this product are treated. I was taken in by the excitement of creating your likeness and overwhelmed by its inception. These items(Funkos)have flooded the marketplace and I am certain it will hit the proverbial wall just as the Beanie Babies did. When the market is saturated with so many variables and versions of Funkos, it is only a matter of time when people realize what a worthless endeavour it is to collect so many of them. I know of a person with a supposed collection worth $4,500.00, although if no one wants to pay what Funkos are "supposedly" worth, then they will no longer be a worthwhile item to have or follow. It may be quite some time until others realize the worthless pursuit of having a Movie, Televison, Cartoon or Music themed figure. My nephew eloquently pointed out, "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain". I am fairly certain in foretelling a fad or craze that, at some point will come to a screeching halt. I am disappointed at how, as a collector how easily I was duped by all the excitement and publicity Funkos have garnished. I suppose the founders and CEOs are laughing all the way to the bank. A day will come when this craze passes, although not soon enough for people to realize how taken in they are by all of this.
I recently did it. Super limited options - you can't have a hat and short hair? They also were lackadaiscally put together and the "name" on the box is a clear sticker they don't even stick on straight. Not worthwhile.
@@davidkerr5870 I have said it everywhere I can that the Pop yourself Funko was a marketing gimmick to generate new interest about Funkos. Heck, I even fell for the pre-launch fan members loyalty rewards. Almost all my pieces were loose in the boxes. There were marking on the faces and the plastic parts were all scuffed up. Well at least my story has a happy ending. I was refunded ALL the money I spent on those little trolls.
My girlfriend and I went to Funko Hollywood and made our Pops! I'd say the experience is much more worth it in person, as the Funko museum is such a great place to visit. The Hollywood box is special from the boxes you get from online. You also get to finalize your Pop figures after they've put them together at the store. Staff was nice enough to exchange pieces if you didn't like how your Pop looked. They've now added exclusive Deadpool and Wolverine costumes for your Pop for $20. Didn't get those costumes, as $20 is a bit steep, but it's cool Funko is giving you options.
Yep, each of the ones you can make is a bit different at both Hollywood and HQ with boxes. I just need an extra head for my Deadpool don't want to take it off my other one.
the bottom half of my pop figure wasn't attached and would slide off. Funko sent a replacement but that one doesn't fit at all immediately falls off. Disappointed not worth it to me.
I think we will do this at some point. I had spent points to be one of the first and then never got around to doing it. I also wonder if it may be better to wait when there is more options. I do think they look good and you guys made great choices. Awesome video guys!
I got mine in the mail. I'm bald with a beard, so there's no issue with hair lining up, but there are still visible holes in the sides of the head where glasses could attach.
I made one of my brother and I for my parents this Christmas and I never received an order confirmation and no way of tracking the progress of the order.
Did you sign in with your Funko rewards? Should show up in your order and say if it's not shipped or not yet. If not just contact their support, they are always helpful. Usually they ship in about a week it seems and they are coming from Califorina from our last orders.
I hate the clothing is limited to what you can choose from and i have a beard also so kinda disappointed in it not lining up. Thought about making one but now im not sure. Thanks for the video. God bless
Yes, I think a little work can still be done but it's many more choices than they had just a year ago. I would like to just be able to order some new parts as they release some new options.
@@Professorjosh exactly! Not sure if it was an accident or what, he came shipped backwards the hair was off cat was popping out and yknow how all funko pops have that. Mold around the charevyer to limit wiggle? Mine had like almost none! Im surr he will still like it

I popped myself at the Everett Washington location...turned out pretty cool except they didnt have all the accessories available. I will most likely do another online to get the accessories i originally wanted. Overall its a pretty cool item for a collector.
Yes, I see they have added a lot more accessories and choices now for online. I think it would be neat to just be able to order some extra pieces to switch it out.
@@Professorjosh That would be a great idea to sell extra pieces...maybe they could do a bundle type thing like buy 20 items for 10 bucks or something so there some good variety for a little more customization.
Came to add a mom's take at Christmas. The interface is glitchy. Mine are not coming with the correct accessories even though I emailed them immediately after purchase confirmation and they took forever to get back to me. And I was willing to pay to fix by just adding the missed accessories loose but "we don't sell them separately a this time". Not my fault, the interface said it was there but the icon on the receipt showed only single accessories. Have the pics to prove it even. But they refuse to fix it even for kids at christmas since they already have the money. funko used to have good customer service. That has apparently changed. Not even a guarantee to get what you pay for. Take a chance for yourself maybe but skip as a gift.
Tmobile Tuesday is doing 25% off this and am thinking about getting for me and gf. After a year of hearing reviews would you say its worth it? Have to decide before October. Seems like yall are experts haha
It is NOT worth it at all. The POP yourself figures I ordered were loosely packed. The additional features, beard, glasses and so on were not attached to the figure. The box it came in was damaged along with marks on the figures faces. These look like they were just tossed into boxes, like LEGO type pieces. I have contacted Funko support repeatedly for a refund and have been met with ignorance and double talk. I am very disappointed since my collected Funkos have hats, masks and so forth. The Freddy Funko has a crown and he is holding a sign (both are attached). I am looking to sell most of my Funkos and as an avid collector this is just unacceptable.
I’m really surprised they don’t just let you build it yourself like the build a Freddy they use to do. Just sent your the pieces you ordered. Probably a better way to do it.
@@Professorjosh I would have preferred the figures to have come pre-built and display ready. I like I said before NONE of my Funkos have any removable pieces. I have a Jay and Silent Bob as Bluntman and Chronic where their masks are painted on and their hats are attached.
@@Professorjosh Well, at least Funko refunded my money. So, I have two free Funkos of myself. I also purchased stickers to make my own version a variant or chase limited edition.
Awesome! I like that each location has a special box too. I usually post most on Whatnot, need to add a bunch of stuff after our big Charity Auction next week in the marketplace.
We did the two-pack recently and took about a week to ship and came a few days later. I think it can be faster at times and might depend on where you live. It seems to ship from California.
I think it's similar options, I haven't seen anything that hasn't been offered at Hollywood from the videos I've seen on it. They have really added a bunch, especially accessories but would love to see a better way to keep on beard and hair and to line them up better.
Hopefully it comes out great for you two! I'm thinking they might have just printed the labels fast to build them. I noticed when I got the email it arrived it showed each individual piece for buidling it.
I think this is pretty cool, but I can`t do it from Norway though. I made my avatar, but need an American number. Maybe I`ll just have to travel back to LA some day and pop myself at the Hollywood Funko store. 😄Anyway thanks for showing how to do it.👍🏼😃
CANADIANS WATCH OUT FOR FUNKO’S POP YOURSELF! Not worth it. Funko sent me all the wrong pops. Here’s the catch, I’m from Canada and paid $115 in extra charges but this isn’t the issue. It’s because FUNKO SENT THE WRONG ONES and wouldn’t fix THEIR mistake. They pointed out to me they don’t pay additional charges which I get but the order wasn’t lost, stolen or damaged. They sent the wrong order. I asked them to simply fill the order correctly and ship it directly to me in Canada (not a particularly difficult thing to do) and they just refused and told me if I wanted the order I can reorder it through the website which means I’d have to pay all the extra charges again. If I had done this, the total cost for my 3 Pops and pets would have been $440 CND dollars after payment on the order, exchange, 2X$75 for shipping to Canada and 2x$40 for duty charges. FUNKO then started to call my complaint “feedback” and my email “sharing my experience”. Supposedly this will help them with customer service in the future. HAH! As if. They aren’t even trying to fix this. What a joke.
Ouch! That stinks and I know how expensive reshipping can get and really no way to really correct issues without having to pay fees all over again too.
@@Professorjosh FUNKO has the ability to fix it at no cost to me. They have the order information on file so they could fill it and, instead of shipping to the US, ship it directly to me. All fixed. My son is a great kid and was generally happy with it, but it was embarrassing to present him something in that state.
