There is a land train that runs between Petra and Molyvos, which we loved and did a few times. Molyvos is well worth a visit. If you just want a relaxing week away in the sun then it's nice. Not tons of stuff to do and no lively nightlife, but there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars and some lovely beach bars. Hope that helps. Have a lovely holiday if you decide to go :)
was there in 2022. loved it. and nice cappucino at Eden. sitting there relaxing and reading a book. fantastic. you come to re fantastic food at the woman,s cooperative (above the kantina restaurant) yoy can see the entrance at 19.13min on the right and dont forget visiting the monastry
I have just book my ticket for two weeks in August. Lookin forward to a nice stay. I was there 10 years ago. Seems there is a bit more shops and cafes as I remember it. But I hope it still a nice and quiet place to stay.

TV Journeys....Lesvos, as you no doubt know, has been through the upheavals of covid pandemic isolation and the huge influx of refugees landing on the island from abroad, and is only now getting out of that slump. So it really needs income from foreign visitors, and Petra is no different than elsewhere. Thus, all the signs in English and the catering of food and drinks to tourists for a two-week holiday in the video. I guess that's good for the Greeks, and good for those of us who need a short brief time of peace and quiet. Robert, UK.
