For our friends who are following along with Photoshop, here's some tips:
To paste your image into the mask, you'll have to enter it by Alt/Option clicking before pasting.
You'll also need to make sure of a few things
To make the shadows selection, you'll need a copy of the monochrome mask on it's on layer to select.
(if you use Select > Color Range with a layer mask selected, it will modify the mask instead of making a selection)

Hi!:) Do you mean printed halftones in general or printed halftones that are specifically created in Photopea?

Hi there, I just gad the chance to watch this video as it was recommended for me, I followed the directions and it is not working at all. A lot of step missing in the explanation, unlike other videos I watched on your channel.
My main concern is after I apply the mask, and click Option+click it will turn grayscale and as soon as I click anywhere else it will go back to full color.
Also, in the video went directly to Level without indicating how to get there. I figured it out. However, it is creating another layer with a mask when I adjust the layer.
Any insight will be helpful. Thank you!

      Hi @LNK9094
So option clicking on a mask will enter mask edit mode, since we copied the image into the mask, it's going to just look like a grayscale version of the image.
Clicking anywhere else will exit the Mask edit mode, the same is true for Photoshop.
At the bottom left of the video you can see all the hotkeys I use during the process, I probably should have pointed that out verbally my bad!
Command+L opens levels, or you can go to Image>Adjustments>Levels
      Hope that helps!!!
