Life hasn't been easy here either, but as Ted says: "I promise you there is something worse out there than being sad, and that's being alone and being sad. Ain't no one in this room alone." Sending love and hugs all the way from Portugal ❤
Anna, I am gratified to see the universe give you this episode at this moment. It was most welcome! It is helping all of us get through a time when it seems so many would not agree with doing the right thing is never wrong. Sending hugs.
This is why I love watching your react videos, I watched the show quite a while ago (and a million times since); the first time I watched a very different time but I could feel every emotion you were feeling rewatching with you...I totally understand.
I intend to use a line from this episode as a guide to navigating the next few years. Whenever I'm not sure how I should react or what I should do, I'm going to remember: "Doing the right thing is never the wrong thing." -- Ted Lasso
Your closing remarks on art and how it affects us definitely resonate right now. My partner and I are both trans and it's been a tough week of oscillating between fear, anger, and hope. Your reactions and thoughtful analysis are a nice little beacon in the storm.
You bring a lot of people joy - there are millions upon millions of people who think like you, think like me, think like others in the comments showing their support and that is we stand united. We're all standing, and we're all standing together. Be well x
Your absolute delight at Jan Mass telling Jamie he didn't know him and didn't like him was you shining through the screen bright and bold through everything. He is one of my favourite minor characters.
Sending ❤️ from a red state! It’s going to be a rough time, but at least we’re in it together. I’m just trying to remember that it’s a marathon and not a sprint, and I’m hoping that I don’t get burnt out too quickly.
I'm a writer, not published. Like you, I've found this week hard, so I've dived into writing a lot this week. Writing is my escape when my life is stressful, or I'm dealing with grief, because with writing, I have control. For a brief period, the world is going the way I want it to. As such, I've found myself in a better place, mentally. Thank you for the recap, that was also a bright and enjoyable spot in the week!
Annaaaa!! You finally got the Ted Lasso experience: crying and then being made to laugh amidst tears. They’re brilliant at these moments. They tug at your hearts strings and then slap you with a joke to comfort you. You feel safe with it, you stop being worried of getting too emotional cause they take care of you afterwards. Thank you so so much for the beautiful shout out, for reading my ramblings (on incoming on the Patreon post) and for reacting to these. I cried a little with you!!
I’ve spent the last six days avoiding my usual political websites and tv shows and instead diving into my genealogy research and watching Ted Lasso reactions. So, that has helped. Every additional record from the Swedish National Archives that I add to my grandpa’s side of my tree makes me feel a sense of accomplishment, especially since I have to scroll through a lot of census pages to get them.
I get the feeling that Led Tasso's lines were completely unscripted and Jason Sudekis basically entered a trance state and ad libbed the entire scene. This was a huge episode in solidifying Sam's character. Loved it!
"I haven't seen a pass that soft since my high school drama teacher asked me to mow his lawn." This was the first time I actually fully heard that line. That was pretty funny. I love how one can find something new with every rewatch of this show.
Oof, yeah, it’s been a really hard week. I had a few days of really concentrating on channeling the stress into positive, healthy outputs, which is getting more difficult. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to consume the political news that was a staple for me prior to last week. For now, it’s channels like yours and watching my history documentaries. Thank you so much for continuing with Ted Lasso. It’s exactly what a lot of us need right now.
Ditto!!! This was a tough watch, but was grateful to see your reaction pop up the other night (in the wee hours here on the east coast). Reactions and commentary brilliant as ever. Keep on smiling and laughing!
Anna... and all Americans who are following her here.... It's been a WEEK... so, it IS time we all do the rightest' thing... more than ever now...., we're all meant to be.... BOSS AZZ B_TCIES! BTW, my two cents, Anna.... TLOU... will be JUST AS TOUGH as you are imagining... BUT... it's so incredibly challenging - 'to your moral soul' good . it's 100% absolutely worth it! Finally... IMHO this is the . 'rightest' react of this TL episode ever!
Please share whatever you feel like sharing on here; I hope venting it will help. Other than that, thank you for reacting, sending all the love and hugs you need ❤
Yes. Getting into the headspace of an evil character can really mess with your mind. I try to intersperse writing scenes not involving said character as a palate cleanser.
Originally Ted was a bit of an arse. The orange one’s first time made Jason make Ted a lot kinder and empathetic as a direct consequence. The Last of Us is too tough now. Dystopian drama is at an arms length for a good while. 🤗
18:19 it didn’t make Jamie the enemy! Jamie spoke up, causing practice to be canceled, and the other players meant it sincerely when they thank him for it. They were glad to get away from Led Tasso lol
S.M. Stirling is an SF author that has written (among a lot of other great novels) a set of alternate history novels about the Draka, a nation composed of ex-Confederates who fled to South Africa and tool Nietzsche's philosophies to heart. To put it bluntly, not the nicest people (especially as time marched on and a new world order formed). As time went on, he commented that he really doesn't like writing about the Draka, but claims that they eventually force him to write about them.
Art doing it's magic. If you're looking for something brilliantly written and acted to fill the void, there is an old(ish) Canadian series called "Slings and Arrows" that is now available on UA-cam. It has that same ability to make you laughcry. There are just 3 seasons of 6 shows each.
I write too (nothing published). I do that get into the bad guy's thing. My problem is i think my evil side is smarter than the other. Makes me wonder if some criminals are evil-genius masterminds or just unburdened with social rules of conduct. Once you truly stop giving a sh!t your mind opens up to all sorts of options.
Right?? I always hey get the side-eue at the day job whenever I point out how someone could be scamming or stealing. Then the supervisors get mad when they have to deal with the scam i warned them about. I've found there is a correlation with "bad guys", opportunity, and those willing to give up safety for convenience.
Yeah, but the ladies are really feeling it right now. I'm giving my wife whatever time and space she needs. Hopefully in a few months they all will accept that the fear and anxiety they shared will be unfounded.
I don't find The Last of Us scary, (and I tend to not watch scary stuff), but it is emotionally draining. A brilliant show, but very upsetting in places. You might want to hold off on it for now.
@@taneshah.1260 Yes, it's a wonderful show, very well written and superbly acted, but I think it's better left for now. It will still be there in a few months.

I desperately need a full rewatch of Ted Lasso. Sending you big hugs and love.
We feel you, what a rough week. Was hard to find hope but we're getting there. Ted always helps!
@@jwkoelker Well said, I’m not even American and feel bereft.

THIS SHOW!!!!!
I can't think of another show that can bring smiles to so many different people when they watch it.
The Jamie arc is perhaps one of the best I’ve ever come across

Ted Lasso came out in 2020. It was a huge hit because it let people escape. It's a good thing to watch for the first time right now.

Everything is hitting different after last week. And this one, in particular for this time, will hit harder.

“Laughing through tears” should be a second title for this show ❤
Feet fingers. Funny in French we use "doigts de pieds" or "feet fingers" as much as we use "orteils" or toes.
Actually, many languages use feet-fingers.

Haven't gotten a chance to watch the episode yet, but a correction to the video title: this is 2x3, not 2x4

Love the reaction as usual, but just FYI the title of the episode is wrong in the title :P
right there with you going to be watching a lot of star trek and Ted.

yeah i get in to that head space ,,, im not a writer i just have the ex army ex firefighter warehouse full of mental health disorders
