I believe that the second season was already in their plans, which is why they chose to keep the original "open-ended" ending of this volume. Also, this raises our hopes for a full adaptation.
Anyway, thanks for your reactions to this series; It's been an amazing ride. I'll be looking forward to your reactions to season 2 too!

Confident Lawrence can be such a dangerous man, I think she fell in love again seeing him work like that.
The thing I like about this show is how (Lawrence atleast) is trying to find a way that benefits all parties involved so there will be no future bad blood.

I just now remembered that i read the novels and skipped the original anime. I was tremendously sad that this arc would likely never be adapted... But here we are! I am so happy!

The Geeks called all of Zeus' and the rest of the pantheon of Greek gods many, many, many kids with humans demigods. So maybe that is what that 'little fool' as Holo lovingly called her is. Of course who else does Holo lovingly call a fool all the time? They sure won't come right out with it, but they are really heavily implying things.
I sure hope we see Elsa again. Evan will probably have to much to do in town as Chief Negotiator for the Village where as the Church no doubt has taken notice of Elsa as a smart, quick thinking young priest that they will have many uses for in the future.
Hope they don't make us wait 15 years for Season 2.
Also, hope they keep the tradition the old anime set of giving us an OVA special or two between seasons. There lots of fun short stories they could give us while we wait for season 2.
For fans of the old anime that have never read the novels to find out what happens after the cliffhanger the old anime left off on... your time is almost here. After the first 6 episodes of Season 2, you'll finally find out what happened after the the final scene of the original Spice and Wolf anime!

About what you said about Lawrence still being alive at the end: it seems to me that holo’s silhouette doesn’t have wolf hears and tail, so maybe she became human somehow? No idea, just a theory since I’m anime only. (Light novel readers pls don’t confirm nor deny my theory I don’t want to be spoiled lol)
