Fingers crossed it will like it's new home and do well for you Janette. I have about 5 plants in hospital. If they really are unhappy I put them in a large pot with good compost, in the sun if they have not done well in the shade. And I am waiting to see what happens now. No idea if it's the right thing to do, but I will see what they say. I love the way you are just so straight forward if plants haven't worked out for you. Always look forward to your chat with us 😁

I am learning a lot since they say you learn by your mistakes! I think your ever so faithful Honeysuckle will be revived in its new home! I didn’t know those things about Honeysuckle. I’m on my fourth year with mine planted on the south side of my garden fence. It does weave in and out of the gaps so I do get to enjoy the fragrance of them in my Secret Garden!🥰🌺

Have you thought about covering the roots with a large stone to help keep the roots cool. I find Clematis likes their feet in cool shade and heads in the sun, same with honeysuckle.
I’ve had a tough go with my honeysuckles this year as well. I appreciate your videos for this reason. The homemade spray and daily watering seems to have done the trick. They are flowering again. And the three of them are south facing. I wanted to say that when I cut them back (which I discovered they do not like much), I was able to use the ‘vines’ and form them into a small wreath. I’m drying it thinking perhaps I can use it in this autumn.

We all make mistakes in our gardens. It’s gonna happen but I don’t know of anyone that loves their plants like you do. That’s how I do with my lavender. I’ve tried everything. I’ve promised not to kill anymore but something in me says try again. I will say that the heat from the bricks was really hard on it too. I have wild honeysuckle in my yard but I so wanted some in my garden area. I think I’ll just enjoy what’s here.
I think you’re right about the heat of the bricks Sherry, since I moved this honeysuckle to the other side of my garden a couple of years ago after the purple planter got completely waterlogged and we had to drain it all, it has still not done very well, maybe honeysuckles don’t like my garden? @@TheEnthusiasticGardener lol no it’s not you. Your garden is beautiful and loves you. There’s some things that just don’t grow in certain areas or soils. So many reasons. But I remember having something against a brick wall and the heat killed it. Before we got our house I was in a rental temporarily. It had a huge yard but wasn’t mine to do with but there was this huge patio. I had my sitting area so nice and beautiful plants all around…well guess what!?! The concrete in 40 degrees Celsius gets hot. Most died and what I had left of those, died in a winter storm in January. So as you know I’ve had to start over. Twice. Don’t give up. Maybe try some in a large pot like your green one in another color and style and you can control it more. I’ve done that with some of mine. You have moved some to but this way you can use the little utility things to move it around until it’s likes a place.

In early spring this year (after that long 8 nonths of miserable wet autumn and winter) I noticed it was growing in height but was told it would start growing outwards instead. Just today i had a look and it is dying from the bottom up! Gutted! It is sitting in a weedy area but also in direct sun.

I’ve since moved mine to the other side of the garden as this planter got all waterlogged, it’s still growing but still small. I don’t think I have green fingers when it comes to honeysuckle 😆♥️

Thx, Amazon has great plants, they sell them through Proven winners, so far I’ve had great success with my orders. Of course its still better to buy them in person, but some varieties are hard to find. This particular butterfly bush grows only 2 ft, which is perfect.You should check it out😀
Just searched and there’s only 1 hydrangea and 1 Japanese Quince and they are incredibly expensive. Such a shame because I watch so many US UA-camrs and everyone plants Proven Winners. Oh well. I can do a butterfly Bush video if you’d like one ♥️

I moved it to the opposite corner, then planted a big Trachycarpus in front of it and I ended up pulling it out only a month or so ago. So in the end I decided it had to go, I just didn’t seem to be able to make it happy! Some thinks just aren’t suitable in some gardens are they? But always good lessons to learn. Hello there Mira, it’s gone I’m afraid, the poor thing went through a lot in its short life what with waterlogged containers and being replanted. So in the end I decided it had to go, I just didn’t seem to be able to make it happy! Some thinks just aren’t suitable in some gardens are they? But always good lessons to learn. Hope you’re ok and happy Spring 🎉😎
