    Very nice truck, Matt! Congratulations! I have a similar vehicle (Sequoia) and love it, even though it is just extra hard/time consuming to detail it properly, but that's OK. I was really surprised when you mentioned the rust spots on the Explorer - I can see something like that happening here in Toronto (quite common, actually...), but not down there in Florida. Smart move letting it go. All the best to you (and the new truck)!

    matt, have you heard of Gary Dean's Infinite Use Detail Juice? Its for rinseless washing. Combined with his Juice boost you can wash and seal your vehicle at the same time. I use to do the two bucket system, but for the last 6 months I have been Using his rinseless wash method it only takes 20 minutes to wash your car. You should try his products out. 1 gallon of Distilled water will do an entire vehicle.

    May I suggest using mineral spirits instead of Tarminator. Mineral spirits is the main ingredient in many bug and tar removers, it would save you a lot of money as I find Tarminator didn't last me too long. Just my two cents

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  8 років тому

      +Jordan Lee I've never heard of using that. I've had my can of Tarminator for a few years now. I only use it once when I have new tires and then don't need it until I get a new car. I guess that's why it lasts a while for me.

    • @jordanlee8577
      @jordanlee8577 8 років тому

      Makes sense, I go through a good amount of mineral spirits as I like to fully strip the dressing off tires and to remove lots of tar. Thankfully a gallon can be had cheap from Home Depot etc

    Matt, you definitely need to put a synthetic coating on this tank so you don't need to maintain it as much. I have Gyeon Q2 Mohs on all my cars and wash it with their Gyeon Bath+ car shampoo that has sealant in it. So every time I wash it, it coats it in a layer of sealant and is actually pretty smooth to touch and glossy looking afterwards, so easy and quick.
    I used to own 2 SUV's and boy was there a lot of paint to wash, dry and apply quick detailer.

Anyway, I'm sure you have already thought of this, but I think doing the front two windows in 20% to match the rear dyed windows would REALLY set this thing off.. and of course, the windshield in 80% like you do on your cars to finish it off... either way, awesome ride.. enjoyed the video as always sir

      +Walter A It's from Griot's Garage, but they stopped making them. These aren't as good, but very similar. www.obsessedgarage.com/home/gear/detailing-gear/lake-country-wool-wheel-washing-mitt/

    How's the Chevy bro? would you recommend it? did you get rid of the Explorer? cause lord knows I love the Explorer, it shared a close body design with the range rover.

      +Vincent2wice The Explorer was good, but this is a better vehicle. Explorer is on a car chassis while the Tahoe is a true truck. The Explorer was easier to drive.

      Obsessed Garage what do you mean by easier to drive? I'm thinking of buying one soon.
