The only American who won't acknowledge this Administration's failed economic policies is Joe Biden. "Shrink-flation' is the least of our worries compared to rising rents and stagnant wages, but it is an undeniable indicator of how bad our inflation has gotten. I have $100k that i like to invest in a non-retirement account, any advice on that?

I would avoid index funds, mutual funds, and specific stocks for the time being. Right now, the best option is a fixed income of five percent. Put money aside for the times when the market really starts to bounce back.

Investing is not necessarily a rollercoaster if you know your way around the market, there are various opportunities in the present market to accrue good profit, If you are not too savvy with the market, just buy and hold on strong companies with good earnings, or consult with advisors on ETFs and actively managed funds.

Investors have just turned back the clock on the Fed’s tightening campaign and cast aside the Fed fears that ruled them for 15 months, It just gets very daunting to me when I’m sitting there looking at charts and trying to determine if i’m right or wrong! I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $300K for sometime now, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions

First of all, You could lose it all and you could win it all. It goes both ways. Secondly, what works for A may not necessarily work for B and you should not be a bandwagon investor. A good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge.

It’s unfortunate most people don’t have such information, I don’t really blame people who panic cos lack of information can be a big hurdle. I’ve been making more than $25k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don’t have to do much work. It doesn’t matter if the economy is crashing, great CFA will always make good returns.

Another great video, thanks! I think the market is over-heated. And I am concerned that people are focusing less on fundamentals and just chanting the mantra of dollar cost averaging and driving the market higher without considering fundamentals. It is a catch-22 for me. I mean I like stock prices going higher but I also hate buying over-priced stocks and ETFs. Personally, I have stopped buying growth ETFs- they are ridiculously over-valued. Dividend stocks and ETFs are a little better but they are still over-valued. There is some hope with small and mid caps. I am not sure they are undervalued but at least they are less over-valued..This pattern offers a valuable insight for strategic planning. Despite these trends, i have delve deeply into active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Tobias Hawke, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Utilities as a "growth sector" can only be an indication of demographic growth. And that, I believe is the real reason for the continued strong demand we see today in the US economy. Not that the individual consumer is consuming more on average, as the wages are far from keeping up with inflation, but that there are simply more consumers. Under these conditions, high interest rates work similarly to a supply constraint, and instead of lowering inflation, contribute to inflation remaining high. If the cost of capital investment is higher, and the demand is higher due to demographic growth, then the higher cost of capital expenditures is passed on to the consumer.

The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken just got back from China. His trip there was to tell the Chinese leaders in person to push a number if important issues and to echo the European issue of China's aid to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. China regards this as “interference” in “normal” trade relations with Russia. The Europeans and Americans both have turned strongly against China over its support of Russian aggression and are both likely to erect increasing additional trade barriers in the near future. Foreign direct investment in China has fallen to a 30-year low, less than 10% of what it was in 2021. The US State Department has a level 3 travel advisory for China. The Chinese stock market is being held up by the Chinese government.
