Pizza makers have been doing this forever. They can do whatever they want to your pizza to make it fit in the box that is the size you paid for. They are not stealing nor causing any distress. Any experienced pizza maker knows about the "landing strip"
as a native brooklyn italian, shut up. we call em pies. its aggravating you think you can tell people who invented the pizza you love and know what to call it.
Yeah…. If you order a medium and the prep guy makes a larger instead this is how you fix it. Plus a pizza shop will do this on purpose sometimes when making a medium so they can get some of that pie for themselves
Work at dominos for six years and you can not do that with how well the pizzas fit into the box. The pizza in the video was made intentionally to big for the box.

@@mickydalemlb yeah I don’t think people understand how easy it is to get free pizza. And even if they take a little extra slice from the pizza it’s usually to fix the pie so it fits in the box
I have worked at Papa Johns and staff food was free during lunch breaks. So I don't see a point to steal a pizza slice. I think this video was made just for fun
Also even if just one customer found out that the pizza was one slice less then the entire reputation of the shop will be ruined, why would anyone do it
If employees at a pizzeria have the audacity to do this, what would prevent them from just baking a full pizza for themselves.... I doubt this happens. If you're gonna steal at least make it worth your while. Lol

So yeah, we would notice very much. They did this even before tiktok as a platform existed, so definitely not doing it as a reason for this.
I guess folks are supposed to be blind. That pizza shrunk significantly. Maybe if I had never ordered from that location I might just complain that they were shortchanging customers with oversized boxes. What nobody seems to notice i that the pizza is larger than the box so they have to cut it to make fit the customer is not loosing , may be the empolyer should be worried
Pizza places that are making their own dough will do this to make it fit in the box. They will also do this if a hole gets torn in the pizza when turning it in the wood fired oven. Also a lot of times when this happens the slice gets thrown away as there has already probably been an entire pizza that was messed up and everyone is snacking on. If your pizza place doesnt allow snacking form a union instead of telling me about it.
they made a single dough too much, as you can see the original size doesnt fit the box if the carton sides are lifted. this often happens when separating dough isnt using digital scale (traditional hand ball method) or when spreading the dough it got too large
Great, now every pizza chain can draw a perfect circle on the bottom of the box to compare the pizza to for increased customer confidence. Good job outing yourselves, pizza workers.
I mean if you work at a pizza place I think the last thing you want is pizza. If your boss isnt letting you eat a slice at lunch then that place is whack anyway.
