The rocks were amazing. I thought they were a lot more involved but then you just cut and I remember these are organic and can be any size or shape I want. Really beautiful. Thank you. ✌🏻🤍
Very nice, Alec! I’ve been wanting to carve a lighthouse since the one you did a year ago, then Doug’s kept light houses in my mind. Now this one knife carve seals the deal, a lighthouse is in the near future. Thanks.
Alec this is the type of carving I really enjoy doing! Finished this a little bit ago will be doing a couple more over time as gifts. Thank you for your time in these vids!
Waiting for my ebay order of basswood so picked up some craft store assorted packs. Was pondering what to make with these awkwardly cut blocks then this popped up. Woohoo perfect tutorial to watch and practice on for these blocks.
I have been doing or trying several lighthouses input yours certainly “ outshines mine” wonderful, thank you. I enjoyed this so much I have done 3 various sizes with a 20inch rock base to mount a song bird in lieu of the lighthouse. I always looking for different base projects.
Dude that was totally cool, I really enjoy how you get excited about your carving. Going to do this when I finish this little bunny of Doug’s for Easter, so many women to carve for does keep me busy with all the projects. Thanks Alex for the projects you’ve posted!
One for the never ending list of to do carving. Getting to the stage now where I think I can do this not I can't do this. Enjoyed the vid so you are subbed Atb Graeme
Nice lighthouse - awesome design in a compact size. Between you and Doug, you guys have given me some great ideas for the box of basswood and cottonwood bark samples I’m working through. I told the wife about your school. Not sure she took the Christmas gift hint. 😂.
I appreciate you and your talent. Between the lighthouse and Dougs painting of his Gnome door. I was able to figure out how to paint the rocks and blend the paints. Is there a way to send you pictures of carvings. Or a special site.
Alec? You point out a more involved lighthouse carving during your intro to this video (mentioning a link below), but I don’t see it in this video details or in your posted videos on your channel?
Just wait until you and your lovely wife have kids. It’ll be “Christmas is a priority!!” Yeah, with the two exclamation marks, add one more for every child. 😂 The knack of producing offspring is lots of practice. 😉 Merry Christmas, my unknown friend
At first I thought another one that is too hard, but this looks perfect for a beginner. Nice big stop cuts and random rocks at the bottom. Loved it. Thanks Alec
Beavercraft knives are made in Ukraine. They are sharper and stay sharper than flex pro. If you are in the market for an inexpensive knife of excellent quality, please support Ukrainian businesses and buy a Beavercraft knife…or three😁
