I’ll Cry for Yours (LYRICS)
Written by: Alice Randall, Robert Jetton
Years have passed
But the pains still here
Leaving a legacy of hate and fear
Wrought iron gates and cold stone walls
The shadows cast upon us all
I’ll cry for yours
Will you cry for mine?
Our wounds will heal
Through tears and time
When they choose up sides
Will you cross that line?
I’ll cry for yours
Will you cry for mine?
My boy died much too young
And I know you grieve a son
Maybe your boy shot my boy down
Today we stand on common ground
I’ll cry for yours
Will you cry for mine?
Our wounds will heal
Through tears and time
When they choose up signs
Will you cross that line
I’ll cry for yours
Will you cry for mine?

Sounds nice. Also love when lyrics are provided. Thanks.
Wow! This song should made a huge impact on so many. Love it, Robert! Bravo!
One of my favorites from the album.
Wow! Poeeful.
Awesome!
Wow...powerful song and beautiful singer... have to check out more of this... glad to hear something real is coming out of Nashville these days.
SEBS (here on UA-cam) is a SELF-DESCRIBED "former Country hater" doing QUALITY REACTIONS to GENUINE, QUALITY Country songs. I'll "suggest" that you'll draw a MUCH WIDER COUNTRY AUDIENCE if you give some serious thought to modifying your choices FOR THIS GENRE - which IS NOT TO SAY IT and other material you do ISN'T a better fit for other genres. Best... Steve
A nice song... But THIS is NOT COUNTRY MUSIC.
Smacks of (POSSIBLY WOKE?) politics or a misunderstanding of what REAL country fans crave.
