It's a shame to put that dog through that. Go get the ducks your self see how you like it. That dog loves you... why would you treat him like that? Ice is sharp like glass. I love duck hunting. But the owner of the dog to me is a really cold hearted person. Not sorry.
I have a retriever and duck hunt as well. What you would not understand since you probably do not have a hunting dog is how much the dogs genuinely LOVE what they do.@@ChrisSmith-sp8li
Great pond hunt. Make those birds come in. Call they wanted in. I always camo my face on every hunt. My mentor 30 years ago taught me that. It works. Yo u guys did good though. Thanks for sharing.
@@HokeOutdoors it happens! I think they would have circled and done it dirty. Next time! I can’t wait to travel through Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, and Florida next season. Spending next years winter in Florida. Starting the season next year in September in Alaska. #RVlife #ChasingDucks
Lol let's cool the jets a little bit, to say he's lucky to be alive is just ludicrous. If you wouldn't have hunted your dog in those conditions that's all good but Wade wasn't in any danger during this hunt. If watching a retriever do what it loves in tough conditions bothers you, just don't watch.
@@HokeOutdoors I have handled retriever's for years, you are too in experienced to understand the danger, obviously, what would you have done if he had gone under that ice in water that was obviously over your head and ice you could not get through? You have no idea what you are talking about, neither does the dog's owner.
Amazing video that dog worked his butt off congrats guys
Thanks Bob! No doubt that he was a the star of the show on this one!
Awesome determination from the dog!! Highly motivated hunt. Thanks
Thanks Gary! I appreciate you watching!
One thing about it old Wade is breaking up the ice and he birds ! Good stuff
You’re far and away my favorite tuber! If you guys ever find yourselves in Indiana let me know!
Thanks brother! I really appreciate it! I'll let you know if I'm out that way this season
Loved seeing the lab work in the ice !
Thanks Jim! I appreciate you watching!
Way to go Thomas, cool video.
Thanks Rick!
Loved watching Wade get through that ice. He’s a good dog 👍🦆

I couldn’t believe he tackled that ice like he did, he’s come a long way in the last couple seasons!

Thanks Jay, I appreciate you watching! We often use a burned cork to darken our faces but didn’t have one on this trip
Awesome hunt guys!!!! Congrats and GOD BLESS!!!!👍😊🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks brother!
@@HokeOutdoors 👍😊
Amazing video..The dog was working very hard and deserves a good steak.
This is really the best spot I ever seen
The location is what really made this hunt a special one for me!
Nice hunt, Thomas!
What a day!!
Beatiful dog work. Love some hunting with the Fam! Keep them coming!
Great video 👏🏼
Great hunt man
Much appreciated brother!
Sweet.
One sore, tired pup when he gets home
Great hunt thanks for sharing
Thanks Mike!
Heck of a poke on that goose. Was it as high as it looked, or was that just the GoPro effect?
It was a little tall but the GoPro also makes it look further than it was. I'd say it was between 35-40 yardss
@@HokeOutdoors Nice. The GoPro makes it look like it is 65-70. It's always difficult to tell ranges with the wide angle lens.
Anyone else notice the huge chem trails in this video. When have you ever seen clouds in straight lines like that? Never.
They are called stratus clouds
Chen trails and that isn’t shit come to Missouri or Arkansas looks like they are drawing grids in the sky
Were y’all able to find any of the birds that sailed?
Unfortunately we didn't. Two of the three were able to get back up with the flock and we didn't have a great mark on the one Chase went looking for
Keep them videos coming
Unreal hunt buddy. Dog did amazing. Who were you hunting with ?
Great
What kind of dog breed is Wade?
He's a Lab
How long did it take for you to get good at duck hunting ??
What did he mean by smallest goose species?
What drone do you use to scout?
DJI Mini 3
The important thing is how you put the sun in front of you while shooting? Just amateurs, not professionals😅
Whiffed big time on them wigeon
Lol no kidding, wish I could’ve had that one back

A shame to see so many birds sailed from taking high shots and rear shots…
What kind of call do you use
DRC Harlot is my go to
I personally won't let my dog go in the ice
🇦🇿👍
You are not good at shooting😂
That is INCREDIBLY dangerous, un-ethical, and just STUPID to be running a dog in ice like that, you are LUCKY he is still alive!!!

And "tough conditions" are not conditions that endanger the dogs life.
