  • In the second half of the series, Allen asks John more of your big questions-including what Wild at Heart's key doctrinal beliefs are, how to address the isolation divorced Christians face, whether the exact wording of our prayers makes a difference, what to do when husbands and fathers don't provide spiritual leadership, and how to respond to the growing global chaos.
If you have a question you'd like addressed in a future podcast, send it to questions@wildatheart.org.

"You have work to do." I was waiting on the Lord in prayer. I didn't care for what He had to say, because I knew exactly what He meant and I knew it was going to be a battle, hard work ... in a sabbatical season He directed so that I would be compelled to confront lifelong wounds and sinful responses and anxiety. Confront the anger I locked away. I ended up in the ER for 24 hours seven months ago. It was His way of stopping me in my carefully crafted steps and showing me what I had refused to consider. I'm now on that journey. It's long overdue. I have work to do, and the love of God will walk through it with me, and I am assured of this because of Psalm 138v8 "The Lord will perfect (bring to completion, maturity, wholeness) that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; You will not forsake the works of Your hands."

When I lost my spouse in 2001 had an encounter with God he said to share with others when needed. What happened was, being deeply lonely remember there was no one to call or anywhere to do that would remove the pain.
While sitting with this am not certain when the loneliness lifted. But it did. I went about my day feeling well and having a good one. Forgot I had been lonely causing depression. This all disappeared until he reminded me.
Hours later God drew me back to remembering I was deeply desperately lonely earlier in the day. Said he took it from me. To remember he does this and other things for me, but doesn’t always remind me he does. In this case I’m to remember he took my loneliness and he will for anyone who leans into him.
This vibe never left me. Haunts me in a nurturing way. Reminds me that God takes things from me and even prevents things from happening. Things I’m not aware of.
I appreciate his care for me. How he’s taught me to make decisions to nurture my heart. Causing less loneliness.
Though loss of people is a part of life. Knowing the ultimate love is with him and he will never leave me.
Now, loss looks different. I’m never alone. EVER.
I know not everyone vibes type of connection. I can assure you everyone has the opportunity to recognize he is present and develop this relationship making it easier to hear him. Even trust when the voice is quiet that in the silence can be the loudest communication, in my experience.
Not sure if this will assist someone to rethink and heal. Find faith or him. Pray it does.
God can. Will. Wants. Needs to be with us. Developing our end regardless of circumstance is our key to open his door. From my experience to yours. ❤

Where does John address the question of the lady sharing her concern of referencing Christians as mystics? He mentions it at the end of Part 2. I'd like to hear John's response but can't find it in Part 1 or 2. Thanks!

@38.40 you mention having to repent for past happenings before you could get breakthrough. Can we repent on the behalf of others? Can you please share some scriptural examples/proofs? Thanks!

What John's referencing here is repenting of what others have done in a place as a way to cleanse or consecrate a place. That isn't the same and doesn't negate or replace the need for those who committed the sin to personally repent. But we can let God know our sorrow and ask for healing of the land or place...especially when those people who committed the act are no longer here as those sins happened decades or centuries earlier.
