As soon as the video started, all I could think is " is he gonna say mlf". Thanks for knocking it out immediately so I could focus on the lock details. Great subject, I have no experience with LSDA mortise locks, very informative for me.
Thanks again for turning me onto to the LSDA product. I'm impressed with the quality and of course price. IDN has been fantastic to work with as well. Got to get one of those catalogs.
yep, lots of similar products across those two :) also one reason I did the General vs LSDA series! I think its mostly a "if you are in the western half go General, eastern half go lsda basically just due to shipping times :) As our hero Russian Cosmonaut says " ehhh russian parts american parts, ALL MADE IN TIAWAN!"
I've carried these regularly for about 5 years now. For medium duty commercial door hardware. They do hold up pretty well. I normally keep in stock the Storeroom with deadbolt and what LSDA lists as Dormitory. I feel like the weakest point in most of the affordable mortise locks are the toggles. The Dormitory is nice for back doors of Restaurants and things like that. I find a lot of times they want to keep it unlocked during business hours and then lock up at night. The Standard Dormitory/Exit is either completely locked when the Bolt is extended, or completely unlocked when the bolt is retracted.
Hmmmm, not the MILF video I was looking for, but interesting all the same. I picked up some old Yale mortise locks , but there was no trim or spindles included - bummer.

See! It’s unavoidable!
They set themselves up naming it that really
@@selock Maybe it's a marketing angle... "Man this thing is wearing out - hey! LSDA has those milf locks..."
