Trail? That's a very nice stairway, with handrails to boot. Back in the late 1960's early 1970's when I was a student you got down to Wreck Beach via old fashioned, unmaintained dirt trails. Wild animals? Back then maybe but they were of the two legged variety and for the most part had UBC Student Cards. The next thing you know there will elevators and/or escalators to get you down to Wreck Beach! So much for progress.
