Hello again, I'm Julie. i craft most days now as I'm retired.. I have done a fair bit of Embroidery training. I loved it now. I'm now disabled and tired very quickly .. I have the book you are using I adore yumiko Higuchi and have a few others. II'm Embroiding, a pattern from Lorna Bateman from her Book Country gardens. It's flowers all the way through with projects . I will make it into a chair tidy. Take care I love to sew watching you and listening to the music. Xxxxxxx
Hi Julie! Thank you very much for watching! Making a chair tidy is such a great idea with lovely flower embroidery! Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day! ❤
I am mexican and here there is a very particular way to embroider, with very colorful selection of colours and what I embroidery the most are napkings for tortillas...it is a tradición. I like your style very much, all your videos are very relaxing and peaceful, thanks for your effort.
Mochi is completely your colour pallet... So muted! She just blends into your craft area! I just love watching you at work - its so peaceful and inspirational! I've changed so many ways of doing things with your example - thank you!
Hi Kiko. As a cat lover, I can tell you that this is what cats do when they want to play, whether they're still kittens or much older like mine! I'm also embroidering the same mushrooms as you! 😊 . Love your videos by the way, they bring me peace and relaxation at a difficult moment in my life. Thank you.
The look of linen took me some time to love. I have clothes made from it and it is wrinkled as soon as I put it on. ☺ Your tea trivet turned out beautifully. 💕
Love the autumn vibes and the mushrooms. This trivet turned out beautifully. Every time I watch one of your embroidery videos, I'm inspired to try some embroidery, myself. Thank you for another lovely video!
Always a treat to see a new video! Thank you so much for letting us into your creative life. After using muted colors in cross stitch and counted canvas work for decades, I got into brighter colors, but now I'm getting back to the soft colors again after watching your work. I've wrapped my inner hoops for years, BTW.
I just purchased “A Year of Embroidery by Yumiko Higuchi. What a beautiful book. Looking forward to doing this month to month collection of the seasons. Such simple designs and wonderful colors. Your project turned out beautifully. I, as well, love to work on my own project and watch your videos 🦋
Watching you embroider mushrooms gave me an idea, and now I have a pretty necklace with an embroidered mushroom pendant 😂. Anyway, I really love your videos, they are very much my aesthetic as well as being relaxing. 🤎
What a creative use for your embroidery design selected. I just added the book to my Amazon wishlist. I didn’t see an affiliate link to your account but would gladly purchase it that way if you ever establish Amazon affiliate link for books. I enjoyed watching Mochi & all her cuteness watching you & exploring her new home. My favorite part of my week is doing some hand work sewing, quilting or embroidery while I watch my weekly UA-cam videos.
Usually when I put on fabric on a hoop, I only put the outer ring about half way down, then tighten and then pushed the ring completely down, that way the fabric gets stretched really teight 😊
Mochi is such great little helper. Think she will grow out of the scratching/biting for attention. They will let us know when we're ignoring them. ; ) 😺
You have really inspired me, your embroidery is beautiful! Mochi looks like she is helping you. I really like the embroidery designs you used so simple but beautiful. Thank You for sharing.
Hello, to both you and Mochi🐱. I really enjoyed this episode, and look forward to making a similar version. The style reminds me of Diana Vingert… I have made much of her designs. Have a happy rest of your Sunday- and plenty of pats/ hugs for the Mochi lady
Oh I love mushrooms and it turned out so nice! I can see you having your own book one day with your own designs. For Mochi, when she wants to play/play attack and is biting I always just substitute my hand/arm with a small stuffed animal or lightweight towel. My cats love to bite those and then they do the kicking thing with their feet lol.
You're amazing!! After seeing your comment, I went and got a towel, added some catnip, rolled it up, tied the ends and gave it to her. She loves it!! She's been hugging, biting and kicking it...lol Thank you so much!! 😻
@kikosabi Haha oh that's good!! Just watch how much catnip as that can make them cuckoo too lol. My girl cats I can give catnip but my male cat oh boy he goes crazy.
I tried embroidering but I don't have the patients to complete it. I'll stick to sashiko. Everytime I watch your video another idea pops. I'm almost finish sewing my second rice bag. I'm going to try your boarder stitching up the four corners so the bag sits upright. Beautiful hot plate.
Saludos.
Wish you could see a picture of my kitty. They are the same breed and coloring. When she bites just pull a lil on the nape of her neck as a gentle “mom” reminder just as her mom would’ve done. Works like a charm and she understands as it’s kitty language for no and it doesn’t hurt her.
Bias tape! What a great idea…I’ve been using ribbon but it tends to slip due to its shiny sheen. …love this design…. How have you been liking your hoop holder?
Beautiful embroidery and very pretty design. I love Yumiko's designs also. About Mochi - maybe she is biting because she is teething? Does she have a chew toy? Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for your videos. The are so comforting and at the same time inspiring. My Favorite sound is your scissors/shears cutting into fabric. I am interested in a embroidery hoop stand like the one in your video. Can you share the brand name? Thanks again for your videos. They make me so happy!
Hello. I really like your embroidery fabric. Do you buy them with DMC ? Where do you buy these beautiful fabrics and what material are they made of (cotton? linen?) Thank you so much for these amazing videos
I have raised lots of kittens and you have to stop the biting young. If she doesn’t have siblings to teach her then you have to do it. When she bites you need to give a loud yelp as if she has really hurt you. She may get a fright but that’s how she will learn. If you watch a litter of kittens you will observe them doing this to each other. It should only take a few days, cats are very smart.
We've tried a lot of different things including yelping but she doesn't seem to care. 😭 The only thing that seems to kinda work is walk away or give her a kicker toy. 😔
You do not need to rewash this to get the wrinkles out. Just spritz the area of wrinkles with water, so it is damp. Then iron with the iron on the hot linen setting.
Thank you very much for watching! This linen fabric is really stubborn...more so than my other ones. I've already tried that, also used a steamer as well. 😭 Ultimately I put it in the wash and repeated the ironing/ steaming again. It's better but still have a little bit of wrinkles. 😅
Hey @kikosabi , I'm a big fan of your channel. I wanted to share a little tip that might help. When I'm finishing my embroidery pieces, I always use an iron with a steam setting. It helps to relax the fabric and remove any wrinkles, giving the embroidery a really professional look. I know how frustrating it can be to spend hours on a piece and then have it wrinkled, so I hope this helps! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
you should probably break Mochi of the biting habit now while she’s still young, if you continue responding she will know it’s a good way to get your attention; better to ignore her (& wear ankle pads!)

Oh! That's a great idea!! ❤
Bias tape is easier to work with than binding tape.
I LOVE your work and I'm always excited to see a new video.
Hi Kiko, thanks for the beautiful video! I had fun watching it while doing my own stitching :)
Thank you very much!! I think I'm missing 3 of her books and my collection is complete! I love her designs so much! ❤

Thank you very much for watching! 😊 I really hope she will grow out of it!
Think they have a teething stage too.
Wow that was a lot of work, but it is a beautiful piece. Mochi is overload of cuteness :)

¡Buen equipo!
Thank you very much! I made a loop to hang it when I'm not using it because it did take a long time embroidering it 😅

Thank you, it’s perfect 👏👏👏👏🐱😘💐
Dear Kiko,
You need to tighten your hoop. Use screw driver . There is a slot in the end screws to get a tighter fit. Xxx love Julie in the Uk

I love the design so much. How do you like your embroidery stand now that you have used it awhile?
I would also like to know the name of company that makes your embroidery stand??

How many strands of floss are you using? It is beautiful.
It looks like she is using the full 6 strands.
Ciao Kiko.
In the video, it says she photocopied the design onto the water soluble stabilizer paper.
🍄🍄🍄😼💖💝
Are you using six strands?

Cats must have playtime at least twice a day! Or they do bite for attention.
