I used my artist's acrylic paints to restore the wood grain appearance of laminate wall paneling where the tape from plastic weather sheeting had peeled it away. This was in an apartment I rented back in the early 1970s. The landlord didn't have a clue, and I got my full deposit back. The technique still works on more modern laminate flooring, as shown here.

Amazing repair but would help if you at least listed the products used. I need to repair my countertop and it being the exact same colours would've helped if products were listed 😭😭😭

I love how he’s not answering everyone’s main question. I guess he wouldn’t have a business to make money from if he told us how to protect the paintwork. To my understanding Acrylic paints are essentially water- based.

What’s the point of posting something like this if you are not going to share the tools. Selfish

any wood epoxy or wood filler (that won't dissolve with water) will work, along with a wood repair paint kit. if you go with an epoxy, which i would recommend because they dry harder and will not dissolve with any water or paint, i would recommend keeping some lacquer thinner on hand to clean up extra epoxy after the spread, to minimize sanding and keep the repair area as small as possible.
