Nice buddy! I have one of those kodiak's too.. I love it.. Got it tricked out with a bunch of after market parts.. Not as good as the AR-15 in my mind, but pretty damn close if you do the upgrades... Not so gunshy with that piece, eh?
Maybe better off to set up on a bait pile, road kill deer or something. I’ve tried a few times to call them in bow range, they seem more on edge and alert to movement. Hats off to you, I’d love to see you put an arrow in one
I shoot many of the coyotes that I take with a shotgun. My advice is set up in the thickets, The thicker the better. Obviously you wanna find a spot where you have a few shooting lanes but they tend to let their guard down in the thick stuff. They will come right to the call mark my words
@@gunshyarchery Is the material quiet while hunting or drawing your bow? I'm assuming as a Trad bow hunter it would need to be fairly quiet, looking for some new clothing. Enjoy the vids and family hunts!!
Those coyotes aren't pushover, during the day with a longbow you must get in a very thick thicket or dense woods were they can creep in as close as possible without seeing you, but then u must remember there nose turns into the number one asset, when you set up in that open field you were already busted they seen you in your game, remember there the eagle of the ground and once taught games over, so my best advice during the day find extreme thick area sneak in like a cloud,, get buried in as best as you can one wrong moment with longbow it's over so get buried in and hope they don't bust you in which most cases the games over way before it started they are extremely educated and not a simple push over, there life is survival
I agree 100% I'm just calling blind. Hoping they're in the area. I'm trying to see them first then set up, then I will have a better idea of what direction they will be coming from to set up properly. Part of the challenge is being exposed, I could use tree stands or existing ground blinds that I have for deer, but not much fun in that. I don't even use them for deer... It'll happen, a partially blind old dog will come my way... hopefully.
Cool , only have taken one ,in 44 yrs of hunting with a compound ,had 5-6 jump the string .it is a difficult task .👍

Whats the purpose of just wanting to kill the coyotes regardless? Is it a cull as they are affecting the land or something?
They kill deer. Farm cats. Farm dogs. So I’d like to save the baby deer, cats and dogs…
