Yes, You can apply shaders to audio tracks, all you have to do is set your recording output to mp4 even if you are using audio files and VDJ will add your selected shaders instead of the video. The characters dancing in the video are downloadable samples from VDJ's extensions tab. If you'd like to use them, go to 'settings-extensions-samples-video loops'. And YES to your final question, shadertoy dot com is free in 2024 and hopefully forever 🙃🙂 Hope this helps
