I DJ at a night club on the weekends. No joke, I have nothing but a laptop and speakers, and I use the automix about 90% of the time. And not to pat myself on the back, but I've been doing better than most of the other DJs in my town---most of whom are working with full $5000+ set ups. The automix editor is genius.
Hi @todds.6028 👋☺️ First of all, congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 I'm always happy when these tutorials help out. Remember, practice makes perfect And I'm sure you can achieve even more. 👍 ☺️
Question: how does your automix play on 2 decks? when i use automix it all happens on 1 deck? is there a setting to be able to use both decks during automix? Thanks
Hi @eproberts1 👋 Glad the tutorial helped, as for your question: To broadcast Virtual DJ to your UA-cam channel, you will need a valid UA-cam account and have it activated for live streaming. Activation requires 24 hours before you can begin to start streaming live. Here are the steps to follow: • Open the BROADCAST tab of VirtualDJ Settings and select the VIDEO option from the Select Tabs. Select the UA-cam option from the Stream to drop-down list. • Click on the Go to link below to get the Stream Key from the UA-cam Stream Service (ua-cam.com/users/live_dashboard). In your UA-cam Dashboard, scroll down to the Encoder Setup section and click on the Reveal button to get your Stream Key. • Copy the Stream Key and paste it to the Stream Key field in VirtualDJ Broadcast Settings. Click on the START BROADCAST button. You can find more detailed instructions on how to broadcast video to UA-cam on VDJ website (virtualdj.com/wiki/Video%20Broadcast%20to%20UA-cam.html) I'll be making a tutorial on the same soon but I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hey you lost me why does deck two start to play the red side and not the blue deck under the blue deck on deck 1 where the white bar for automix is at on both deck on songs 🤔
Great video but how do you get both decks to work and the transition slider to go on it's own. I can only get one deck spinning the music? it will transition but only on the left deck. I'm using 8.3 Build 5186

Can you edit the automix "on the fly", that is you get a request and add the song where appropriate. without screwing everything up? ( not saying it would, but you didn't show adding a song into the current schedule while playing. ) I will have to try this out.
Hi @Alan 👋 That's a very good question. To add a song while the automix is active, the first thing you need to do is map this action "automix_add_next" (without the quotation marks) to your keyboard or to a button on your controller. This action will Add the songs selected in the browser to the automix playlist right after the song currently playing. Now select the song(s) you want to add then press the key/button you mapped. Hope this works 😊 I'm working on a second version of the automix tutorial so feel free to suggest any topics you'd like to be covered.
I'm a novice..I'm trying to mix my playlist with the match BPM but I don't want to listen to the 1 hour playlist play. How do i stop the mix playing as listening to it is annoying. Also, how do I save the mix after it's completed? I don't even see the red track on the right when mix is coming in. Anyone please help 🙏🏽
Hi @TheAlmorah 👋. sorry if you're finding this frustrating, let's see if we can change that. To save your mix after you are done editing, hit record under the master tab which should be in the middle of the main screen, then press the automix button at the top of the automix playlist. This will start playing the automix while at the same time recording it. And to have your automix play on both the 'Red' and 'Blue' decks, head to settings > options > automix > automix dual deck (select yes) Now you should be able to have both decks playing during Automix. As for stopping the mis from playing, maybe explain further what you mean and I'll get back to you. Hope this helps 🙃
@@YoungSimbaEmpire thank you for replying back. In terms of stopping the music. What I meant was do I have to keep the mix playing for the entire hour in order to have it record & saved? Hi @TheAlmorah 👋. Just responded to your other comment, check it out.
