If my wife and I are just starting with Country 2 Step or Country Swing (had some ballroom lessons), is there a benefit to start with one or the other first and build to the other dance style?
Hi there. We start everyone with two step. Partly because its a great dance to start with, but also because in our area there are more people who dance two step.

Looks fun... too bad it would only work for skinny girls, or very strong men.
It actually has more to do with leverage than size. Look at 3:59 (dipping a 6’2” 240 lbs man) haha
On this love I actually am holding the majority of my weight as a follow by holding up the hips and making sure that standing leg is strong☺️ Anyone can do this one for sure!!!
@@AdiaDance I understand in a dip, the follow hold her own weight, but as shown, there is no way the follow can hold any weight, the follow is a class 3 lever.
