A question of mine none asks, how is it on low volume?, something to sleep to having on the intire night?, // how is this new one compared to the r2 mk3?, is it better? what part does it make it to be better?, for classic music at bedside, low volume, regular local stations with voice only etc... wich one should i get? Geneva? Ruark? Roberts? Single speaker? or dual speaker? im afraid that 2 speakers might be harsh... its nice to have internet radio feature as "built in, it is mindbobbling that theres litteral to 0 info or videos on these radios.... theres nothing....
Bought one of these 15 months ago. Wish I hadn't. First 7 months, problem free. But the Shared Music feature stopped working at Christmas, but more annoyingly, playing a CD from start to finish seems to be s challenge for this £1,000 system !! CDs can skip, but also stop playing half way through. That's what's just happened now - hence me posting this comment ! Sorry to say it, given it's a British company, but think hard before spending on a Ruark.
@@ABsSoundAdvice Feel a little foolish. I did a search for Ruark R5, and this video came up, but only after posting my little rant, did I realise this video relates to the R3. For clarity's sake, I should say my complaints relate to the R5.
@@BG-ig6fd An update : 4 months ago, I told Ruark I'd had enough, and to their credit they gave me a full refund even though I'd had it for over 18 months. I bought a Technics instead. £300 cheaper, but - it must be said - 20% less impressive on the Sound Quality than the Ruark. I'm not trying to put people off buying the Ruark R5, but clearly I had a duff one !
