ACTION MAN RIFLE RACK

First released in 1969 the rifle rack was a popular accessory set
Contents: Folding rifle rack with four weapon accessories - M1 Carbine, M1 Rifle, M16 Rifle and M79 Grenade Launcher.
Early issues had stencil lettering with later issue Sans Serif typeface
First weapons had elastic sling with post 1975 plastic sling straps
Packaging was originally wood grain type with cellophane wrapping and from mid seventies Equipment Centre blister pack. In 2006 the 1969 version was reproduced as part of 40th Anniversary Nostalgic Collection.
In addition to above there was also very rare version released on Soldiers of the World card this did not feature in any catalog and as result has not catalog number.

My father got this for me when I was a kid , it is such an enduring memory I have an AR15E1 with brown miss match furniture :)

One thing that has constantly annoyed me is the attachment of the sling on the M1 to the front ring that is situated furthest from the butt of the rifle. It should be attached to the ring that is closer, as the further ring is actually where the stacking swivel should be.
In any event, this is a small but very useful accessory. As always, you have done very well with the presentation and commentary. Thank you for sharing this with us.
